They hired Romeo Crennel as the defensive coordinator. They might keep Pendergast on as secondary coach. I think Thomas will end up elsewhere as this is more of a who you know versus a where you came from business.

Thanks for the update. I had heard the rumors last night but did not know it was official. They are building a heck of a staff in KC in my opinion. Now they just have to get some NFL quality players.

The pressure is certainly on Pioli.

11 interceptions? He obviously doesn't coach that aspect of it. If there's one sore spot on this team, that's it, IMO.

Or, you could examine the specific players. Newman has never been a big INT guy. Hamlin has had years as high as 5 ints but got none this year... that isn't coaching. Sens is playing with a broken thumb. Again, not coaching.

I would rather have Dennis Thurman. Cowboys could hire him as DC, but Wade would still call the plays, groom Thurman to take over one day. Thurman has experience as 3-4 coach (under Rex Ryan) and his secondaries are always tops in the league, year after year.

Emmitt Thomas would be my second choice, but the gap between first choice and second is Grand Canyon-esque.

Bring Dennis Thurman home, where he belongs.
