At the end of the day, Jimmy and his loved ones are still alive and well. Everything else is just 'stuff'.

You can lead the clueless to water but unfortunately you can't drown themThis place still finds a way to amaze me with stupid posts. I read something and say "That will never be topped", and then someone directly after it posts something even worse. Ridiculous.
He's not upset just due to the damages, it has more to do with the moments and the meaning of the home. He says, "It's our dream place" - meaning, it's something between he and his wife.
Would you feel the same way if Roger Goodell lost his home to the hurricane?
Right! That's still his home.Loss is loss and it hurts regardless of what is in your bank account
Why do some people only look at this from a monetary perspective? It was his freaking home! And it's not like a magic wand will be waved and everything's immediately rebuilt or replaced. It's primarily a financial loss, so yeah, his financial wherewithal minimizes it.
The video doesn't show Jimmy crying over lost photo albums, or pets or other irreplaceables. It takes us on a tour of his hurricane-damaged tropical estate.
It matters that Jimmy has the means to restore his estate to its former condition (or any other condition he chooses). It means Irma only cost him some money. Hard to get too worked up about that given the costs she imposed on others, far less fortunate than Jimmy.

Because this story immediately establishes Jimmy as more worthy of our attention than those who truly suffer.
Feel bad for Jimmy, but there are many more that won't be able to rebuild and who have had their , and families , life dreams destroyed.
