Enough with the Lion Love

It could if we come back healthy after the bye week.
If we beat Detroit and San Francisco, then we might be looked at as the team to be. However, Minnesota is having a great season so far.

Is it wrong to envy other franchises who give a damn about winning and take the steps to improve while Jerry sits around with his thumb up his butt?
And what did those other teams at all that shuffling around get from it. None of them have a ring lol. Screw those high priced Primadonna free agents , build through the draft.

The same Cards who beat the 9ers? A Hawks team that is a mess right now? The same Bucs team that look unstoppable earlier in the season? Don't blame the schedule maker, as all those games were thought to be tough ones when it came out. Who on here loves the Lions? Because we do not match well in any aspect of the game, those objective fans are in love with the Lions?

The same likable coach can't get out of his own way at times, their D is not unbeatable....and in 2024 NFL there is no team that doesn't have it's challenges. This should be your take, not the Stop the Lions Love one

We just basically paid two of the highest priced FA or soon to be FA and will do another next year.

3 players is not a team.

I think what folks see in the Lions is a hungry team. A hard playing football team that has never really been a winning team at least per my memory.

Fans on here give love to all the other teams. We have a group of Eagles and 49ers fans, and now they are shifting to Washington.
Envy or respect or both, who knows. I just want to get to the point, I feel good going into a game and confident we can win it. Maybe the is more what describes our fans for now. Give us something to be confident about. But I understand what the OP means as well.
I don't have a feeling about this game right now. But leaning toward us not having a good game. Just like I did with the Steelers game. Mostly because of all of our injuries. And now Kendricks is out as well.
But that doesn't mean I want to give Detroit any love. But they are a better team than Pittsburgh. So it looks anyway. Maybe they aren't as good as they may seem.
But at least we are at home, not that we been good at home yet this season.
I'm with ya jazz, same here. And like you, I think they are a better team than the Steelers, And with all of our injuries, who knows. I could see us winning this game but my better instincts tell me Detroit is gonna own the day.
If we had a better running game I'd give it to the Boys, but we don't so I'm leaning towards Detroit.

Everyone including me is saying the Lions should have a cake-walk party tomorrow. They have been crowned already, so lets see what they do. I just hope we make it a good game and IF the Cowboys win, we should see an all week Lion bash.

I honestly don’t know what the OP is talking about in regards to love or stroking by the media.

The Lions are talked about like all the other good teams in the league. Maybe a little extra love because the Lions as a franchise was so bad for so long. That it’s an important storyline for the league that they’re finally good.

That’s all.

In regards to the game. I think the Lions are better than the Cowboys. That being said, any given Sunday. Cowboys are capable of winning if they bring their A game and maybe catch a couple bounces their way.

I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow. I hope the Cowboys win, and I believe they have a shot. I understand Detroit is a good team, and are coached by a guy everyone seems to like a lot.

But enough with all the love, the stroking by the media, and even some fans here. Detroit has beat The Rams, The Seahawks, and the Cardinals. They got beat up by the Bucs. They are a little above average, but not as good as the top teams in the NFL.
In no way is this team as good as everyone is making them out to be. Chill, GO COWBOYS!!!
its early and what they did last year still has some cache left, therefore the hype

Prediction:
Detroit will be up by 3 scores at the start of the 4th quarter. Dak will "make it look close" and everyone will be on the board discussing whether the amazing almost comeback was legit, or not.

David Montgomery will look like Wilbert Montgomery (old dude reference) against the porous defense.
Lamb went off on them last year and still it took a bone headed HC decision to steel a win.
Detroit is seasoned now after a NFC Championship appearance last year. They're built to contend.

If, IF, Dallas is to win, it will take a signature game from the QB and some freakish turnovers by the defense.

Detroit will run and run some more and won’t even need to fire up Stafford unless somehow it becomes necessary. I doubt we can stop their run. And if we do it’ll be because we are selling out on it and then he’ll really burn us.

That said, I doubt their secondary stops CeeDee and he racks up a good game. Should be a classic shootout. But I got
33-27 Detroit

According To Some reports "We have a plan this week."

That should make a huge difference from the last 29 years!

I expect a tough outing for the Cowboys, especially with their two best pass rushers likely missing that contest. The Cowboys will be obliged to mount a steady, consistent pass rush to keep Goff from putting their defense under constant pressure to keep his passing under control. If they somehow manage to accomplish that, I think there's a chance our Cowboys can make this home game against them a success. It's easier said than done.

I'm with you.
Cowboys have too many holes on defense now.
Playing back-ups to back-ups eventually takes a toll.
Lions by double digits.
They've been eating nails since last December.

Leaps and bounds better then us. Coming off a bye. It will be ugly today

This one ought to be similar to Baltimore…

The score ends up looking respectable but they got their butts kicked on each LOS.

Then we get to listen to Jerry tell us how much better we are getting.

“Did you see that one drive in the third quarter? That’s something we can build on….”
