I could be wrong but hasn't Carter been pretty good since the SD game?
Yes he's been better...

It's one thing for a RB to break a tackle, and its another thing for a LB to flat out miss a tackle. And I remember 2 instances where Ernie Sims flat out missed tackles that would've prevented long gains. I also believe it was Sims' ankles who Ponder broke for his rushing TD.
Listening to the Lunch Break guys run Sims into the ground. Saying he has a "Kamikaze attitude," he was responsible for Hatcher's injury; he almost rolled up on Lee's leg last week; one of the most undisciplined players there is, etc. So why is he getting playing time over Carter?
You feel Sims can cover them. No he can't. He is our worst linebacker IMO and I can't believe he plays at all let alone over Carter. Carter has had one bad game and woodhead is a tough coverCarter is very good with stopping the run but his main weakness is stoping the pass out of the backfield. Sean Payton is master of using backs, h-backs out of the back field to create mismatches. I would rather concede the run than give up these long pass plays on Carter
