Escobar is the definition of inconsistent

I was really looking forward to seeing Escobar reach a new level over the course of the next few weeks, but the guy is just inconsistent. For someone who is supposed to have the best hands on the team, he seems like he is a very erratic catcher, and like Beasley he seems to have a touch of the fumbles.

It's striking me how inconsistent most of our receivers are turning out to be be outside of Witten and Bryant. I think Williams has stone hands, and Beasley definitely has a problem holding on to the ball based on his number of catches.

I know after Romo going down even more people will want a QB drafted high, but at this point I want another WR high and/or a RB or T. Hell QB is probably the last position of need in my mind. I think a very sloppy game put Romo and continued risk. Dropped passes, WRs struggling to get open, offensive linemen/tight ends getting false starts... You run the score early, and you can keep your QB clean.

Escobar has one career fumble I believe
He needs to be a bigger part of the offense especially with Witten dinged up
You are right about the offense as a whole
Got to get the penalties fixed and fast because while romo can over come being behind the chains many times, Weeden is not going to be able to move the ball if we keep him behind the chains all day
The entire offense just needs to get sharp but that's a fear when most of them played so little in the pre season
It may help keep them healthy although that's debatable, but sure hurts getting the offense sharp early in the season

He flashes both good and bad, like a 3 yr rookie.. Growing pains since Witt got all the reps till just recently...

He's not really that inconsistent. He had a drop or two in preseason. And one drop and one strip in the regular season so far, right?

All of our guys need to hold onto the ball better after the catch. We're going to get some picks from the QB position, so we can't give them up with poor ball control like we have been so far this season. It's gotta get cleaned up.

He doesn't get a lot of chances but he doesn't always take advantage of those chances. Some good and some bad.

I would think he has caught a lot of passes from weeded in practice the past year and a half. Hopefully they have built some chemistry. I am not expecting romo and written chemistry but romo and written developed that chemistry early on in their careers before Tony ever started a game. A big target like Escobar might help weeden out.

I've wanted another outside WR for a couple of years. I was in favor of OBJ if he fell, and I saw several reports indicating the Cowboys were open to it. They simply don't have an outside threat if Dez or Williams went down, and now that Dez has, we see the results. At this point I want WR, RB and CB in the 1st 3 RDs next draft in whatever order BPA falls. Unless of course Ramsey somehow falls, then I'm all over that.

Escobar has much better hands than Bennett in any contest, Bennett's obviously the better blocker.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Bennett contributed more. He was a blocking tight end.

Escobar is a receiving tight end that cannot block, cannot get open consistently, fumbles the football, but bless him, he has great hands!

This is why I was a big fan of getting Dorsett in the draft.

Not in the first, where he eventually ended up going, but the offense really needs a deep speed threat that we don't truly have at this point, Dez & Williams considered.

I liked D. Smith out of Ohio St and the Cowboys obviously liked him enough to bring him in for a visit. He just went too early. I'm extremely curious who would have been the pick in Rd 2 if Gregory wasn't available. I'm leaning towards T. Coleman, but who know at this point.

Esco makes me mad as well but Its hard staying in a game mentally when you are the 5-6 option. If JW plays sparingly the next two games I believe Esco will step up its hard playing behind a Hall of Famer. I can prove this to be true. Who are and or where the second TE's behind Shannon Sharpe, Tony Gonzalez Jeff Heath, Gronk we dont know their names cause either A.)They where not targeted or B.) Never developed cause of the guy in front of them never got off the field

no you didnt, you were hoping to see Escobar as a fan you see him in your mind. What you think you see vs reality vs you still nto understanding Dallas uses Escobar correctly, left you under whelmed. REality is prone to do that. Catch up.
