On the onside kick recovery he wanted no part of it.
He must go to the ball. Wilson had heart and saved his butt. He did the same thing on the int Romo got charged with vs Denver a few years back.

He could've costed us the game. Again.

It kinda looked like Escobar was reacting to Wilson flying in from the side

I watched it several times. He was frozen and waiting for the ball. The corners of his eyes were on the oncoming Commanders.

Don't think zeke reacted much better on 2nd onside kick. not a slam just a observation. easier when you get to run a ball. the odd bounces of a oblong ball freezes most when coming right at you

Well, thankfully it provides a teachable moment for the special teams coach. I'm really liking this Wilson kid, in his limited opportunities he has flashed some ability,,, aggression, speed, strength.

Forgot that and didn't see him.

Who got it?

That was really a lazy attempt there by Zeke. I have no idea what he was thinking. He just kinda pawed at the ball like he wasn't sure of what to do.

Wilson looked like the guys in Hoosiers when they tried to keep the ball from going to Ollie.

No, that is not what happened. They are coached to leave some spacing between themselves. Wilson was closer to the ball than Escobar. If Escobar dives in then he could get in Wilson's way and there would be nobody directly behind Wilson if he does not get the ball.

Escobar did not almost "costed" us the game.

FYI - What you meant to say is "He could've cost us the game".

Players wait on onside kicks a lot of the time because it's usually easier to fall on the ball than attack it. Wilson was aggressive and made a nice recovery, but that often results in the ball taking a weird bounce of the player and leading to the other team recovering it. I'm just glad that Wilson had good hands on the play.

I saw that in the replay and was just blown away by his non reaction. Wilson deserved a game ball on his move/recovery. WTH was Escobar thinking? He just froze.
