Escobar scared

Witten is the best at catching on side kicks. Young ones need to learn from the master.

Don't think zeke reacted much better on 2nd onside kick. not a slam just a observation. easier when you get to run a ball. the odd bounces of a oblong ball freezes most when coming right at you

Yup both he and Dez looked like they wanted no part of it, far worse than Escobar. They got very lucky on that kick.

Just remembered... wasn't Wilson the primary goat in the OT loss to Saints last season?

That much more happy for him that he made the onsides play... as bad as Escobar is taking heat in this thread and just seemingly as a routine, I sense that Wilson would be taking twice the heat for having gotten in the way of a hands guy on the field.

On the onside kick recovery he wanted no part of it.
He must go to the ball. Wilson had heart and saved his butt. He did the same thing on the int Romo got charged with vs Denver a few years back.

He could've costed us the game. Again.
cost*

Pretty sure that was Gachkar

C'mon. Seriously? We still have fans looking for something negative in every win. He's actually made two good blocks two weeks in a row to help Zeke get some nice runs. He's not a great blocker but he has done better this year. Maybe he was slow reacting to the kick but calling him scared and almost costing the team a win again is ridiculous. Some fans can't enjoy what we're watching.

That is the third correction. I realize I made a terrible mistake. I formerly apologize to you and America. I'm sorry. I am a bad person.

Can you go around take care of the they're-there-their abusers too please. They are the real problem for Christ's sake!

And please correct your name with the proper capitalization.

I seen it different. I sen him waiting as the ball was coming to him. If he went for the ball the bounce may have caused him the misplay it. Butting waiting it would have came right to him. And there was no Commanders player near it so he could wait. However Wilson came across and ,add the play.

If anything, Escobar saved the game by waiting. If he came up, he and Wilson collide and the Commanders could have recovered it.
You done seen it wrong. Go back and watch it again. There were two Commanders closing in. If Wilson wouldn't have jumped in front of him there likely would've been a collision before the ball was fully secure.

I don't think he was scared on this play but he's never been a physical player.

Formally not formerly. ;)

Wasn't really his fault, the guy who was injured (can't remember who...) should have stayed on the field. Instead he came hobbling off and Wilson had to run on the field with seconds left before snap. With a qb like Brees, they're going to notice and take advantage

Perhaps--I didn't remember that detail. In fact, I thought it was the first play from scrimmage after the kickoff, but I'm too lazy to go look it up.

Point, though, was merely that I feel like sometimes some number of us fans can be especially anxious to pile on whenever we perceive some opportunity arises to do so.... it it wasn't Escobar, it would've been Wilson for, again, having not let the guy handle the ball whose ostensibly best asset is his hands.

Yes, the injured player should have gone down on the field to force a a timeout.

Wilson was listening to that Marion The Barbarian song as he went for the ball, "Move ***** Get Out The Way!!"
