Didn't get to watch the game :(. But I am surprised receiving team doesn't bat the ball out of bounds more.

On the onside kick recovery he wanted no part of it.
He must go to the ball. Wilson had heart and saved his butt. He did the same thing on the int Romo got charged with vs Denver a few years back.

He could've costed us the game. Again.

I seen it different. I sen him waiting as the ball was coming to him. If he went for the ball the bounce may have caused him the misplay it. Butting waiting it would have came right to him. And there was no Commanders player near it so he could wait. However Wilson came across and ,add the play.

If anything, Escobar saved the game by waiting. If he came up, he and Wilson collide and the Commanders could have recovered it.

Players wait on onside kicks a lot of the time because it's usually easier to fall on the ball than attack it. Wilson was aggressive and made a nice recovery, but that often results in the ball taking a weird bounce of the player and leading to the other team recovering it. I'm just glad that Wilson had good hands on the play.

Exactly. Good for Wilson that it worked out, because if it hadn't, all that we'd be talking about today is how the LB jumped in front of the TE who is known mainly for his good hands.

Watching the NFLN replay this morning, I noticed the same thing.

I guess I don't know the technical details, but seems like he should be attacking the ball, not backing off it. He was more than 10 yards down field and Wilson knocked him over to get to the ball.

Was a really nice play by Wilson to catch the ball, as he had to catch it on a short hop.

No, that is not what happened. They are coached to leave some spacing between themselves. Wilson was closer to the ball than Escobar. If Escobar dives in then he could get in Wilson's way and there would be nobody directly behind Wilson if he does not get the ball.

Escobar did not almost "costed" us the game.

FYI - What you meant to say is "He could've cost us the game".
I disagree completely with your assessment. As I have stated.

Thank you so much for the grammar correction. Next time can we go over the difference and when to use past vs present participles :)?

Costed was pretty bad. I'm not pleased with myself.I actually believe it was a typo more than a grammar issue. I doubt I could make that bad of a mistake and I beg for the board's forgiveness. :( It is karma for correcting my wife.

We've done a wonderful job with draft picks as of late but Escobar is circling the bowl
