Another bash Escobar thread?
I'm really at a lost when it comes to Escobar, I believe the talent is there he's just not getting the clock for some reason.
His catch radius is better than Witten or Swaim, he can do things as a receiver that neither one of them can do. I just don't understand it at all, and when Escobar leaves I fully expect for him to make an impact on another team.
Its utterly ridiculous that we can't get this guy on the field at some point, not like he has some obvious character flaw like Bennett.
I just don't get it at all.
I hear you, it's frustrating. We marched Street out there for a couple of years while Escobar sat...Weird.
I think Bryan Broaddus said it best. Escobar was drafted for 12 personnel offense and Dallas has since then has moved to 11 personnel offense. Unfortunate for both sides, but it's pretty clear that Dallas will move on from Escobar.
Esobar must have done something to someone because he is in the dog house for sure, I would have thought they try him as big wide out with Dez out. At least he creates a size mismatch for a DB. Like Colston for the Saints. But who knows. One thing for sure is that Witten wont last forever. We have been blessed with Novachek and Witten that's a few decades of having a great tight end.
Works for WittenSwain is not a great blocker ,he justs puts his body in front of the Defender and hope for the best.
You mad!Yet ANOTHER wasted 2nd round pick. That's THREE FREAKING TIGHT ENDS drafted in the 2nd round, and NOT A SINGLE ONE is/was worth a damn.
My God.
Bingo. Been saying it forever, JG and his love for the 12 but sucked at coaching it. As I said the other day Escobar will catch 40-50 balls next year for someone.
You mad!
Witten is not a 1st ballot HOFWhich ones weren't good?
TEs sit behind Witten who was stolen in the third and is a first ballot HOFer. If you want to fault them for drafting a TE backup then ok but who takes Witten's place IF he went down. You know most people are injured here and there. Just not Witten except for a game in a galaxy a long way and time ago.
I do agree they did not use Escobar as they should have. They should have left him as a hybrid and put him in the 12 and used Witten or another as a blocking TE. They over bulked him instead of working on his speed.
Bennett could play all three downs and yet still didn't have a place here all things considered.
Witten is not a 1st ballot HOF
He might also be another "Romo" player...
1st Ballot, 3rd Ballot, whatever, he's going in.Witten is not a 1st ballot HOF
the least we could do is use him in the red zone, the fact that we are not even doing that now when Escobar has shown he can be a reliable RZ target is indeed baffling.
Players who have disappeared without Tony... L. Robinson, Williams, Escobust, and apparently now Dez..Who are the other "Romo players"?
