I think the list is pretty accurate with the exception of Ben being in the top tier. He belongs in the second tier with Romo and Rivers.

I've always put Romo, Rivers and Roethlisberger as basically being about the same overall quality and importance to their teams.

Brees is no longer T1, and I'm not sure Peyton is either. We already know until Romo wins a SB or 2 you will have to see these sorts of lists.

Andrew Luck: most overrated QB in football.

I don't care what his name is and I don't care what his potential is. Show me the top-5 PRODUCTION or else he doesn't belong.

I love the quote from the guy who says Romo's 50-50 to make the "big mistake" being immediately followed by actual stats (you know, FACTS) which put that garbage to bed.

List is not accurate. Rivers, Wilson and Brees over Romo:rolleyes:. Questionable that Luck and Ben are over him as well.

I think it's hilarious that Luck is top 5, which is based on 95% potential. He plays in the worst division in football. Non-division games were against the likes of Cleveland, Giants and Commanders. Sure they got to the AFCC game. And the Patriots put the Colts over their knee. Maybe top 10. But top 3??? BSPN doesn't try to hide their man crushes at all.

I'd like nothing better than to see Romo holding a prominent place in that 1st tier once 2015 is in the books.

They got there against Cincy and Dalton (without AJ Green/Gresham) and a broke down Peyton Manning and Broncos team that looked like they quit a month earlier. It's not like they went through some tough competition. I live in Indy and I get tired of people already anointing Luck. He might turn out to be a great QB but I think people are jumping the gun right now. Like you said Luck has really had it pretty fortunate right now.

He took a previous 2-14 team to the playoffs as a rookie and has taken them to the playoffs every year since then. Keep watching, Luck is legit as they come and gets better and better every year.

Also he and his team have been showing progression -- this year they reached the AFC Championship.

I know people are fixated on the the QB rating, however, at the end of the day he has been in the playoffs all 3 years of his career and his trajectory looks to be just fine.

Can somebody please tell me how Luck keeps getting on these Top-5 lists?

Last year he was 3rd in Passing Yards and first in Passing TDs. He took over a team that had gone 2-14 (although they clearly tanked that season when Manning was lost to injury) and has gone 11-5 each year since then. He took his team to the AFC Championship game last year. He throws too many INTs so he probably should be lower but I'd guess most people would pick him as the best player to have for the next 10 years.
One other thing is he was a very highly hyped #1 overall pick. If he had performed exactly the same and had been a 3rd round pick he would not be rated this high.

Brees is living off yesterday's hype. Peyton Manning was a shell of his former self last year. Neither were better than Romo last year, IMO.

We'll see with Peyton Manning.

Age is probably catching up to him, however, he did throw 39 TDs last season and would have easily had been in the mid-40s again except he played through an injury in December which resulted in him throwing only 3 TDs in the December.

My point is if 39 TDs is a shell of your former self, your former self is pretty frigging spectacular.

Well, we are talking about Peyton Manning? :)

Nevertheless, I look at expectations too. I don't think people thought the Cowboys would be that good, yet Romo led a team that finished 12-4 with one playoff win.

The Broncos were expected to win their division, and they did, but got spanked by the Colts.

That's why I asked what is this ranking based on. To me, Romo had the better overall year, despite not throwing as many touchdowns as Peyton.

But it's all subjective.

To be fair, Peyton had a pretty serious arm injury or something down the stretch. It was pretty obvious during the games.

Peyton is a great QB, I think errybody knows that.

However, if we're truly rating QB's on records like people seem to do with Luck, Romo did far more with far less.

I wish we lived in a reality where this ranking didnt hamper Romo's ability to play. This is devastating.

2014 by itself, he was a top 5 QB.

In the grand scheme of things, and in 2015, I put him tier 2, boarderline tier 1, right at 6 overall. Rodgers, Brady, Luck, Peyton, Brees. He has a legit chance to pass both Peyton and Brees, but then again, Russell Wilson has a legit chance to pass Romo. Rivers is a toss up, as he can be elite, but I still put him behind Romo.
