What I find funny is Luck gets credit for his short comings based on a lack of talent around him, while Romo was to blame before he got help and now he is downgraded because he got help.

If Luck was the QB of the Cowboys we would be instant super bowl favorites in my opinion.

Romo gets a 5-11 team with sketchy oline and bad defense, and plenty of offensive weapons to 8-8.

Luck takes a 2-14 and makes it a playoff team. Pathetic RB, Pathetic oline, pathetic defense, and only one semi-stud receiver (Ty Hilton). Every year he gets better.

The only problem with this is when you watch the Colts play.

I saw Luck play us last year and he was hot garbage.
Then in the playoffs he was pretty bad versus both the Broncos and Pats.
Against the Pats he was historically bad.

I think he has true franchise ability and potential but he is no where near as good right now as people love to pretend.

That game meant very little to the Colts. They had no defense and once we started to get ahead the whole team dialed it back and quit. I wouldn't hold that against him.
He did have a really bad game vs the Pats, his whole team did. He has had 3 playoff wins in 3 years. Romo has 2 playoff wins in 9 years. I think Luck is a better QB than Romo ever was and he is just getting warmed up. Luck may just hit elite status this year. He is the real deal.

He was garbage against us because the game meant nothing to the Colts and everything to the Cowboys plus T.Y. Hilton Luck's top receiver didn't play and the ones who did kept dropping balls. Luck still completed over 68% of his passes in that game but no one could get open down the field which caused him to force some throws that got picked.

He's been one of the better QB's in the league over the past decade having led Pittsburgh to 3 SB's winning 2 of them. How he managed to win a SB in 2008 with an awful OL that helped get him sacked 48 times and having no running game that season was a testament to how good he is despite having the #1 defense that year. He had a terrific statistical season in 2014 and many who've been following the Steelers for decades think he's better than Terry Bradshaw. I believe Rothlisberger will end up in the HOF.

Yep. Can't stand him but he's a great QB.

no matter how hard you try you will never supplant ufcrules as the #1 romo hater. Why don't you give up?

FANS are incapable of giving credit to any QB from an opposing team it's just not in their DNA. They feel if you give an opposing QB credit for being a good or great player you're walking the line of being a troll and it's disrespectful to Romo. lol Had a discussion about Russell Wilson a few weeks ago and because I gave him credit for what he's accomplished in such a short time someone tried to spin I'm a Seahawks fan who hates Romo.

Everyone is looking at what he has around him and how far he's gotten the Colts despite it. If you put most young QB's in the situation Luck entered into having to replace a legendary QB in Peyton Manning and losing 2 of Manning's receiving threats in Garcon and Dallas Clark they would have folded under the pressure. Luck took over a 2-14 team that was 2-14 because the Colts depended on having a GREAT QB to carry them. Everything was put on Luck's shoulders as a rookie and despite a shaky OL, little running game and an aging #1 receiver he led that team to an 11-5 record and the playoffs. He did that despite suffering 41 sacks. For a rookie QB to maintain their poise and lead what essentially was a bad team to the playoffs was pretty remarkable. The Colts would be a 4-5 win team at best without Luck. Had Russell Wilson ended up in Indy and Luck ended up in Seattle Indy would probably be looking for another QB and Seattle might be coming off 3 straight SB wins.

The disrespect continues.

The disrespect will continue until Romo has more playoff success and wins a SB. Doubt that will ever sink in with some of you but that's the reality of it. All the QB's on this list that are ranked ahead of him have won SB's except for Luck and Rivers and they have more playoff wins. No way have the Colts been more talented than the Cowboys the past 3 seasons but they have 2 more playoff wins than the Cowboys and reached the AFC title game last season.

"Last year's formula was outstanding for him and I'm wondering why they have not done that forever," an offensive coordinator said. "I do not care how sexy he looks throwing, he is a 2 to me because I know if it ends up in his hands, it is 50-50 [whether] he is going to make the big mistake."

That comment goes back to what I've said several times that many still see the bobbled snap in Seattle and all the other ill-timed mistakes Romo has made and to overcome that stigma he needs to win a SB. He came through vs Detroit in the playoffs last season with a clutch TD but the stigma won't go away until he wins a SB.

Way to talk down. That sentiment "sank in" a long time ago. It is what it is.

It hasn't sunk in with some and never will which is why FANS keep complaining about Romo's ranking on these lists compared to other QB's. Many seem perplexed as to why Romo isn't ranked with Rodgers and Brady. Until this past season Romo hadn't led the Cowboys to the playoffs in 4 years and as the QB of the team he's going to take some of the blame for that. To overcome a stigma that took several years to create with some huge mistakes in big games he must improve his playoff record and lead the Cowboys to a championship.

Some of the young guns are pushing some of the older QB's down the list Eli didn't even make the top 10 despite 2 SB wins and a very good statistical season in 2014. To many Romo is what he is a very good statistical QB during the regular season who can only get the Cowboys so far before screwing up. That's not me saying that, that's others and the agenda crowd here can spin what they want and they'll be wrong as always. Many (not me) assume no matter how well he plays if games come down to him having to make a play he'll always make the big mistake and to overcome that perception he has to win a SB.
