they spend zillions of dollars on vastly overrated players, thats what
someobyd remind us again how many (who who they were) guys they spent 25-30 million contracts on this past offseason

More to the point, they get the wrong players. Ignore the outrageous contract numbers-- you're looking at players who will be cut/restructured long before they see those backloaded payoffs.
Right now Washington cap impacts of Lloyd, Randle El, and Archuleta are minimal, like around 2 million each.
The problems is that each of these players are at best role players. As of right now, they've signed these guys for a few flashy punt returns that didn't amount to much and one long pass made in a loss to the Titans.
I actually agree with Theismann banghead, they jumped the gun and got three of the same kind of receiver when they could have had Joe Jurevicius, Terrell Owens, Keyshawn Johnson, Donte Stallworth, Ashlie Lelie (no big loss here I agree), Eric Moulds, or maybe even Javon Walker. Instead they wind up with Lloyd, a chronic underachiever, and Randle El, a role player.
The fools also went and paid Adam Archuleta when they had a better player in Ryan Clark. Letting Arrington go was addition by subtraction, but losing Antonio Pierce and Fred Smoot years earlier was mindless.
Thanks for their complete disdain for draft picks, they are paper thin all over the place.
I would love it if Washington never fires Vinne Cerrato because it would guarantee more of the same incompetance.
