i think they're written this way because...oddly enough...that's how the writer feels.

contrary to popular belief, not every journlist is a cowboys fan and won't always see it the way we do.

now why some of us tend to go ape-caca and take it personal, that's the amazing thing i dont' get.

It's not that we take it personally so much...it's that this guy is a writer working on behalf of the largest sports broadcasting conglomerate in the world and he clearly knows nothing about what he is writing. Besides, I thought the reason behind these forums is for football geeks like us to vent isn't it?

No one is suggesting all journalists are or should be Cowboy fans and this may very well be how this journalist feels. But the point is, they are trying to sell their opinion and what better way to do it than by picking apart the most popular team in the country.

Many have been posting the failed logic that was used to justify this article. Whether you are a cowboy fan or not, it is a ridiculous article.

1. if he got the job to work for this conglomeration then he must have some form of qualifications. i don't think that "are you an advid cowboys fan" is on the application.

2. he must know something to have this job or someone who *does* know would take it away from him out of simply being better.

Again, transition and this is the biggest degree of it with the HC, DC, AND OC all being changed out. They are worse off with Turner, but they arn't as bad as they look.


Their offensive line isn't quite was it used to be. Put presure on McNabb and he freaks. Detriot couldn't do it and they lost. They will lose again this week when the Giants apply pressure.

Pit has beaten three struggling teams in Buffalo, Cleveland, and SF and all the sudden they are a top three team that is underrated. The "Experts" amaze me sometimes.
Even a stopped clock is right a couple of times a day. Green Bay has some talent and it's starting to come around. Underrated? Yes. Dominate? No.

Jefferi Chadiha, was he drunk when he written this shock piece this is the same guy who was very critical of the "Cheatriots" and Belichick when they were accused of cheating but yet he has them being underrated what a company line *** kisser he is.

I'm not going to even comment on that guy overrating the Cowboys.

I dunno, I watched their game with SD game on NFL Channel shortcuts, and I was pretty impressed. Believe me, I hate to say that, because I think Favre is tremendously overhyped. But they looked pretty darn good, I though. Jackson, the rookie, isn't bad. And Favre is throwing some great passes.

This guy is lacking basic common sense.

The eagles who were pre-season Super Bowl contenders are now underrated after scoring 56 points last week? If the fleagles are the best 1-2 team why can the Chargers not claim the best 0-3 title and merit underrated status?

Everyone considers the Pats the best team in the league by far. How is that underrating them?

The guy needs to define from what point the rating is based. Is it based on right now, on their overall performance versus expectation, what?

Dallas is overrated because a defense that had one bad week(in a 10 point win) is subpar????

Note to mediot: The Dallas defense is getting bodies back and adding Tank Johnson soon. The only overrated thing is the AFC after the Pats. Wake me up when the Steelers or Colts play someone. The Colts struggled versus a solid but not outstanding Titan team and the Steelers have faced CLE, BUF and ZONA with 2 of those games at homes. The astute NFL fan might know 20 guys total on all three of those vaunted rosters.

Who exactly have the Pats played? 1-2 Jets, 1-2 Chargers, 0-3 Bills? The Colts are the only unbeaten to play a team that has actually made some noise.
