McClay work in NFL is such a small sample size I can't draw meaningful inferences from it yet. In all likelihood this is token gesture that 'changes' are occurring but we really know when it comes down to it...Jerry is making final call on draft day. Hopefully McClay likes big, physical football players because after watching the 49ers vs Panthers game, those teams have no shortage of those type players. I'm tired of watching the Cowboys and their finesse style of play.

I'd say Jerry and Stephen rule the 1st and 2nd rounds. After that, maybe they stick to the draft board....

True. They discussed that and said that they thought Williams would be available in the 3rd.

They did the same with LB Magee. They had him rated higher than Holloman, but thought that Magee would fall and therefore took Holloman.

Honestly I've been quite happy with our drafting since 2010. Lee, Bryant, Smith, Frederick, Murray. We've done well. Three of those are top 5 at their position in the league (Bryant, Lee, Smith).
