ESPN: Cowboys rookies Chidobe Awuzie, Lewis Neal impress early

I don't know a thing about Lewis Neal, but can some explain, why Dallas has put him at LB? A 6'1 260 LB with DL skills would be insane against the run. I'm just kinda surprised they aren't at least trying it out yet.

Awuzie is my favorite player from the 2017 draft, loved him ever since I saw that piece on him from NFLN, I am pretty stoked to see his impact on the defense....can't call him "pet cat" as he is a lock (pc's are guys you want to see make the team, but have to battle to get there)

my pet cat: Mr White....his potential is pretty big, IMO...Awuzie, JLewis, and White could transform the secondary when added to the others already there (not sold on Woods like some in here)

I don't think Neal fits the requirements for linebacker in this scheme. He's not a fast player. He probably wouldn't be good in coverage. He's a short, stocky player who has some initial quickness and a lot of try-hard that has helped him have success in the SEC.

I'm not saying he would be a all pro or anything. But maybe a role player that could come in on run plays and to help get pressure. I fully understand he would probably never develop as an complete LB. but he probably ain't even making the team as a DE.
