That sounded very mature and I give him much props for finally coming to the same conclusion most of us have. The fault lies with him, for the most part, disregarding timing issues. I have confidence that he still can be a great wide receiver. Since, BELIEF is the theme... I believe in you Roy Williams!

If Roy finally wakes up and become a difference maker this team will be so dangerous on offense.

I agree. I believe he's taken the first step, and the much needed one, to get his career in Dallas going. I like the level of maturity this shows and I do believe that's he's starting to come around and get it. I like that.

I'm pulling for you Roy.

I give him credit for the stance he's taking and like what he said. The coaches need to assign a defensive back to cover him while he does the juggs machine.

It seems to me he's afraid of getting hit on throws in the slot or accross the middle.

My memory may be wrong, but he seems to catch more balls at the back of the end zone or along sidelines where he doesn't have to worry about getting popped from behind.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

Hello. My name is Roy. And I am a dropaholic.

The one drop he had was nothing more than looking up field to run before he secured the ball.

Wow...I'm shocked, yet impressed all at the same time. I think it takes a big man to own up to his short comings in the manner he just did...and I really do hope he turns it around in time to save his reputation.

As poorly as he's played, Dallas getting in the playoffs will give him ample time for redemption. Imagine if he caught a David Tyree or Santonio Holmes type of play to help win a close playoff game, or even the big dance!

He still has an opportunity to change 'opinion, he just needs to start making some big plays for us starting now!

I am proud of Roy and still believe he can turn this around and will be a benefit to this team for years to come.

Hmmmm ...... there is that word again.

Believe.

Isn't that how many of them simply occur?

Good for him.

I still think he could be a big part of the offense and really help us be better offensively. Hopefully it starts this weekend and continues in the postseason.

With as much attention as teams are going to give Austin and Witten, if RW steps up and makes some plays our offense would take the next step IMO.

I agree. Garrett and Romo lose confidence in him and call/throw plays in another direction, that essentially cuts the passing field down by 1/3. That's partly why the Cowboys could only hang 17 points against the Skins, who had a much smaller filed to defend. If Roy improves then the field widens, opening it up for Austin and Witten. It's time Roy steps up.

Hey Roy, Dorothy is not in OZ and you are not a longhorn anymore. She's in Kansas, so you need to come to Dallas and be a #1-WR for once.

He will receive more opportunities to make plays, big or small, for this offense.

Changing opinions???

Now that's a totally different story.

Not that it really matters to him, but that is what I have been looking for from him and I would think his teammates were expecting too.

It is a good sign!

I think he is reading this board:

http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3167166#post3167166

How about, "I got to make that catch, thats what I am paid for. There is no excuse for dropping that ball that was in perfect position at the critical point in the game. The fans expect better than that and they deserve it"

I would have loved that response!

Yep, a quality player who is in a funk IMO.

Both mentally and in catching the ball.

He needs to get his act straight for the playoffs!!!

If he did, I fear that if even he never caught another pass he'd be able to milk it and management wouldn't get rid of him despite the salary cost or lack of performance on the field.

Having said that, if it won us a super bowl and he didn't kill us in the future, I could live with that.

If he pulled a David Tyree and won a Super Bowl, I would not care.
