IRVING, Texas -- How much does the December slides of seasons past affect the Dallas Cowboys? Evidently it depends on how many of them you have been through. Sean Lee has been through just one (2011), seeing that a toe injury shelved him for the final 10 games of the 2012 season and kept him out of the NFC East title game loss to the Washington Commanders last December. At 7-5, the Cowboys are atop the NFC East but could be a half-game behind the Philadelphia Eagles if the Eagles beat the Detroit Lions by the time they kick off Monday against the Chicago Bears.
