That would be a awfully high gamble for Jerry Jones to attempt. Tashard Choice and Martellus Bennett should play key roles in a more run-oriented attack this season. Plus, he would be surrendering two assets to the Super Bowl runner-up, which happens to co-exist within the same conference. I'm not disagreeing with the possibility, but I believe it's a very, very farfetched one.

:starspin I agree, I just don't see this happening, not even with Jerry Jones being the gambler that he is, the price would be too steep.

There is no way, at all, that I'd put together a package that included Choice and Bennett for Boldin or any other WR in the NFL. Forget that noise.

After each one played outstanding in very limited action (Bennett moreso than Choice) last season, watching either of them leave the team this early in their careers would be very hard to swallow.

Part of the reason we got rid of TO is to utilize the amount of talent we have and spread the ball around.

We have players that are too talented to not get them the ball. We're not going to go out and get another big name WR. We'd go back to square one of not having enough balls to go around. Boldin is used to getting almost 100 catches per year. Thats just not going to happen.

Do you really believe everything Jerry says?

Just like how he mentioned the Pats and said you can never have too many weapons at WR after the RW trade.

I can see it happening.

Trade WR Roy Williams straight-up for Boldin.

If you were Jerry Jones and had that offer extended to you from AZ, would you make that trade?

With Jerry involved, I would never say never.

I could see him trading Choice RB, Bennett TE, and 2nd in 2010 for Boldin.

Two of Arizona's key needs are RB and TE (pass catching). Both guys would start for Arizona this year.

Don't put it past Jerry.

I can not see that happening. Please come back to reality... that is an absurd trade... 2 young up and coming studs plus another high pick for an already injury prone WR.

It's not really that far fetched, if u take a second to think about it. Look at it like this:
1. THE SALARY THING -- Yea we would have to pay him big money, but I'm sure that Rosenhaus would work with us. Anyone that comes to Dallas can, in theory, take a discount, because of the exposure u'll get playing for America's Team. I'm pretty sure guys take less to play for us a lot more than we think. And Rosenhaus seems to have a good relationship with the Jones. PLUS we were going to pay 2 WR's big money anyway if we had kept TO.

2. CHOICE AND BENNETT ARE EXPENDABLE -- The players that were put up in the trade scenario are only 2nd year players. Yes, they put up productive numbers for us last year, but neither is a starter. And they could just as easily regress this season. Remember, Bennett wasn't even on the radar until we traded Fasano last year. And Fasano was a 2nd round TE that we had 2 years invested in. Choice was a 4th rounder, with all the picks that we have in this year's draft, I'm sure we could find another quality back in the mid rounds. And we have brought in what would be considered late round RB's to workout, like the kid from Texas A&M(forgot his name).

3. BOLDIN ISN'T REALLY INJURY PRONE -- In 6 years, he has missed 16 games. He's no ironman, but I wouldn't consider that injury prone either. He has proven to be one of the toughest WR's in the league actually.

So even though, the trade may be improbable, it's not entirely impossible.

You guys wouldn't trade our 3rd RB and our 2nd TE plus NEXT year's 2nd round pick for a top 10 NFL WR?

WOW!!!!!

I love Dallas floating rumors or trying to engage Arizona by the way if only to raise the actual cost to NYG/Philly.

But I'd drive Marty B (listening to him rap) and Choice all the way to Zona myself if it meant getting Boldin back.

Boldin is probably the most physical WR in football. He stays banged up but he runs through walls to make plays. The guy has heart.

We can clearly identify and draft RBs on day 2. We can also draft a 2nd TE.

He AVERAGES 90 catches, over 1000 yards and 7 TDs in his career. He is just now at age 28.

This is whom I've wanted all along ever since we started looking last season before RW was impulsively taken and over paid...and under produced.

But hey, we got the "Texas Boy". That's what meant more to us and we got him. Texas > Talent, in that order, the way it goes around here.

I would too. MB is too stupid, to immature for my tastes. I'd send him to AZ no problem. I really like Choice but I think that one of our RBs are going to end up gone anyway. They are all too good to just sit the bench and we can really only play two so...... Heck, I might consider sending MBIII to Az instead of Choice. Would make more sense financially IMO.

Never happen thou. Those things only happen in Madden and I think he just retired.

This is a short sided comment IMO. The Boldin deal wasn't on the table at the time we traded for Roy so you can't really say that we did one over the other. Had both been available, I would feel the same way as you but that's not how that happened so I don't know that it's fair to characterize Jerry and the team in that fashion.

Sorry , but Choice was much more impressive than Bennett. Bennett was a 2nd TE producing on a team that had Witten and TO.

Choice produced against some of the best defenses in the NFL as a rookie.

Keep Choice for sure - he is a workhorse!
