ESPN: Jason Campbell to start for Washington...

i watched campbell play for his entire tenure as a starter at Auburn. He was highly touted and was pretty much a bust until his final season. I dont think he'll ever develop into an good NFL starter, but maybe a mediocre one.

He was drafted a round higher than anyone had him projected and was only projected as a first day pick because of his performance in the SEC Title game and the Sugar Bowl.

I'll be the first to say that I have the utmost respect for Brunell. He seems like such a classy guy, and I actually feel bad for him sometimes.

With that said, his time is over, and it is time to start a new era for the skins. Im not excited about how good I think campbell can, but just excited that this organization finally found it time to make the switch

Yeah' its like a Fresh Start.

I don't think he's a fraud or anything like you, i just think 1. He won't develop into a great QB and 2. He's not ready yet to start

Although, the offense cant stagnate much more than it has under Brunell, so why not.

It sure is nice to have undrafted free agents with moxie laying around.

I guess they just need more Camp-bell, baby!

Patrick Ramsey II about to take the field. Back to pass, he's sacked, he fumbles, he's yet another first round bust for the Washington Commanders.
I.E Patrick Ramsey and Congressman Heath Shuler.

hey leave it to HH to talk trash about a player that has not taken one NFL snap yet. So what NFL team are you a scout for again??

There's no trash talking anywhere in that post, it's a fact. He isnt an NFL QB and never will be. He has poor mechanics, won't be much of a running factor in the NFL, and doesnt look off to his second and third reads very well. In college, when his first option wasnt open, he either ran it or dumped it off to his superstar RBs.

Well, right now he IS an NFL QB, so that's not true. Maybe you meant something else. :)

Coulda made this move two weeks ago.....I would have loved that.

True.

But all the remaining games the Skins have on their schedule is against the NFC and guys like NO, Atl, and 2 divison foes need lossess and the Skins are a great candidate to give it to them :p: .

Campbell will quickly be exposed for the fraud he is. Must be nice having the two best backs in the country and the best O-Line in the country around you...

and yet CAMPBELL was the one to win 2004 SEC players of the year, and not the backs

Ok thats fine. Maybe we reached, maybe we didnt. Thats yet to be seen. I just love how much hate you have for any Commander player, thats all. I'm not here saying hes gonna save our season or anything. In fact I bet the first couple of games our offense will be simplied (if thats possible) so that Campbell isnt overwhelmed with everything. I'm ready for him to struggle a bit in the beginning. Better him starting now, than next season.

Patrick Ramsey is a better QB than Campbell ever will be. If you never saw him play at Auburn you really can't fathom how epic of a bust he will be. The guy was a fringe first day talent.

In those games, it's go Campbell time. But this really is a terrible time to put Campbell in - with how the rest of the team is performing. brunell was bad, but he had way too much blame placed at his feet. Maybe this is the spark needed, tho.

HAHA, the guy hasnt taken ONE nfl snap and he is already a failure? But hey, what else could I expect from someone who can't talk football reasonably :bang2:
