"Monday Night Football" analyst Ron Jaworski breaks down the matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys:

The game between the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings is shaping up to be a nice matchup featuring two solid defenses trying to stop two top quarterbacks.

Looking at the past two games Dallas played, both against Philadelphia, I think the Eagles made a mistake by blitzing so much. They clearly defined where Tony Romo was going to go with the football. The minute the ball was snapped, he knew what to do. He was in total command of the offense. The Eagles should have put a little doubt in his mind by letting things develop downfield, forcing Romo to make a decision. The heavy blitzes make it easier, in a way. The ball is out quick. Not complicated.

The Vikings will do the opposite. They are not a blitzing team. They like the Cover 2 shell, with the corners up on the wide receivers. They jam the receivers, slow them down and let the pressure get to the QB. I think that is the way to play Romo. Force him to read coverages and make decisions. Especially with DE Jared Allen going against the struggling T Flozell Adams. Allen will probably get to Romo more than once.

For the Dallas defense, Minnesota's balance presents some problems. They are not the one-dimensional, pass-happy Eagles. Brett Favre has RB Adrian Peterson in his backfield and three top WRs in Bernard Berrian, Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin, whom I think is the key. The Cowboys' LBs and safeties are not good in coverage. If you can get one of them matched up with Harvin in the slot, that is a clear Minnesota advantage. Favre has always done well throwing between the numbers and Harvin has shown he can thrive there, too.

Romo and Favre are really the keys to this game. I think Romo will struggle with the crowd noise and that it could be a long day for Adams. And I think Favre's offense matches up a little better against the Dallas defense.

Yeah they made a mistake last week by blitzing. What about the week before, Jaws?

Two pretty inaccurate and ridiculous statements.

1) Flozell is not struggling. Did you hear Trent Cole's name called once? Nope.

2) Sensabaugh is pretty **** good in coverage. Carpenter and James have had solid years, and are pretty good in coverage.

3) Jaws is a homer ******.

Seriously, is Jaws being that delusional? I know he loves Eagles, but usually has been a good analyst when it comes to cowboys, i.e. when they are not playing Eagles. But boy, he is so stung by Eagles getting their rear handed that they now is making every strength that cowboys have as their weakness, which is amusing.;)

Adams is the weak link? I guess then Trent Cole plain must suck as a player eh to be shut down by Adam?

I agree that the Vikings offense can be pretty strong, especially due to their receivers and of course AP. However, I think the key to the game is how our defensive line and linebackers do against the Vikings not so great offensive line. It all depends upon how much home cooking reffing, i.e. the lack of holding calls the 'Boys will get, which tends to be more than any other team.

Jaworski loves Andy Reid and in turn loves his protege, Brad Childress. Jaws pick of the Eagles last week was only 20 points off.

Struggling T Flozell Adams? Jaws watches tape, so maybe he saw something I didn't, but Flozell seems to be playing well to me.

This is soooo true. I have just have to last at this.

Last week he predicted the post-season game would be sooo different in the eagles favor because they did not blitz much in the season finale.

That was the key to beating Romo. Now he's back to playing coverage to stop Romo;).

Adams a weak spot? More so than McKinney? Ok Adams just shut down Cole in back to back weeks and McKinney has looked weak.
Yet McKinney/Ware is a match-up than Adams/Allen.

is anyone really surprised that Jaws picks the vikings? I mean we all know he hates dallas which is why I can never take him seriously as a analyst.

what was even more surprising was Wilboun picking the Cowboys and Kornhesier picking the Vikings

That's what I was thinking, wasn't Philly getting torched for not blitzing and letting Romo pick them apart the week before?

I think this game is going to be tougher because the Vikings can be more balanced and I think they will do better against our running game.

The least of my concerns is if they give Romo all day in the pocket to make decisions.

Imagine that? We're ripping on Jaws because he gave an opposing viewpoint.

As if we already won this game.

Some of you clowns need to calm down. We haven't won yet. You guys act like we're in the Super Bowl already.

He's giving his opinion. His stinks as much as your does.

I can't speak for others, but I could care less what Jaws thinks. However I cannot help but notice when someone is talking out of both sides of their mouths and get a chuckle out of it.

No one should ever expect these two ESPN clowns to pick the cowboys because they have made it known publicly they don't like the cowboys

Dude, you need to calm down on this calming down thing. Of course fans are going to react negatively to their team being put down or talked about negative. Thats why they are fans.

Second, its not about Jaws picking against cowboys. But the weakness of Cowboys that he claims is the issue. Flozell is a weakness? What game films past 4 games shows that? Tony struggles against non-blitzing team? What were Eagles doing week 17, when they got beat down?

Cowboys might lose and there is nothign wrong in picking Vikings for this game. But don't point to phantom weaknesses.
