Do you people not remember Kevin Greene when he was with the Panthers where he looked like he was about to kill his coach and it took about 10 guys to hold him back? If you guys have never seen this stuff before, stuff FAR FAR FAR FAR (x100) worse than this lame crap you're moaning about, then I'm calling you liars when you say you've watched football a lot. That was shown on Sportscenter, etc. a ton when it happened, but I couldn't even find that doing a basic search.

There's not going to be a lot of videos to find because there's no reason to take the time to upload a video of something that's very common and insignificant. If you expect people to just start going through game tapes one by one to find examples, you're delusional.

Okay, that's a good point about Greene. I do kind of remember. It's worth noting that Greene got a one-game suspension. It wasn't that hard to find, though.

Still, that's one incident, the guy did get suspended and the argument that it happens all the time is extremely unpersuasive without some actual evidence to back it up.

You very well may think it happens all the time but you're not necessarily correct.

I found articles about Greene, but not video. And what Greene did was so far beyond what Newman did it's ridiculous.

What you fail to mention is that Kevin Greene NEVER STRUCK HIS COACH!!!!

Oh, I remember as a kid we used to act crazy like we were going to beat up the biggest kid in the class. But it's funny how we acted bad when we knew there were others who were there to hold us back and hold the kid back.

No one said sideline blowups between coaches and players are uncommon. But players getting physical with coaches is a rarity. And you can bet that if it occurred frequently, it would get video attention as much as Spreewell's attack on his coach.

It represents a line of authority that shouldn't be crossed. Get mad a your boss, call him a name under your breath. Even shout at him. But putting your hands on him. Uh, no, that doesn't happen often because the first time it happens it's taken care of pretty quickly.

So please, let's stop arguing tangential points (coaches and players always argue) or making excusing for not finding video in this ubiquitous youtube age.

If it happened often, there would be video on it just as nudity happens all the time but it's funny that that somehow seems to make it on youtube even though it's now "no big deal."

Anyone that thinks that players putting their hands on a coach happens all the time is nuts. What is more nuts is the fact that some of you think this is ok behavior. What is wrong with you people?

Stuff like this happens on every team every sunday. The fox cameras just happened to notice it this time. That is all, period.

:hammer: Exactly...there is no need to overreact to a typical argument between player and coach. It happens every week.

wrong...wrong and wrong......players and coaches argue every week but very seldom do they put hands on each other like that......

Some of you guys know NOTHING about CB play.

All CBs give up plays.

No CB is perfect.

Deion Sanders isn't playing, anymore.

Even Deion wasn't perfect.

He hated going inside on incuts and crossing routes.

Newman has been playing very, very good football. He's locking guys down. Plus, Marshall got away with pass interference.

Some of you just can't see through your biased glasses.

Where were some of you guys after the Carolina game? What happened to Steve Smith? Who iced that game?

It was all crickets.

Where where you guys when Newman took care of Roddy White and jacked him up? Oh, wait Roddy caught two or three balls on him. Check White's line. Newman was on him most of the game.

Newman has played some great games this year.

What does someone's knowledge of CB play have to do with their opinion of Newman's confrontation with Campo?

From FWST

Newman, Campo argue

Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman got into a brief but heated argument with secondary coach Dave Campo on the sideline during the game. Fox cameras caught the confrontation as Campo tried to stop Newman coming off the field after a first quarter series.

Newman, who had only one tackle, appeared to push Campo away.

Newman would not talk after the game, and Campo downplayed it.

"I was trying to stop him from keeping going, and he thought I grabbed him," Campo said. "He just kind of bowed up. We were a little upset. It was between family. No harm, no foul."

wow last year newman wouldnt shut up and now, he has nothing to say....lack of accountability?

Newman is clearly a player in decline - he will not defy mother nature like the silver&blue-coloured glasses crowd have said.

He should be the #3 CB next year with Scandrick/Jenkins starting.

It was also a full 11 years ago and the only episode anyone can find. Although, given Campo's response WG found, this doesn't look like it's going anywhere.

Good find. Well if Campo's remarks are anything to go by, you may end up being right about this. This certainly doesn't sound like Campo's looking for punishment.

Oh, yeah.

Who shut down that little green, troll, DeSean Jackson?

Terence Newman

20-16

You don't win the game without Newman's great play on one of the most explosive players in the NFL!

Exactly.

Do these guys pay attention to the point of contention before they post?
