There's nothing to criticize.

Coaching and training are pretty much analogous.

There is plenty that can be taught and coached in sessions like this. If nothing else, getting more and more familiar with your new coaches.

This is not the end of the world. Skipping this will not set anyone back. Participating will not create any more wear and tear to manifest itself late in the season.

It is just a missed opportunity to improve.
