Well, you have to wonder if that plantar fasciitis is really affecting him.

You know, I was watching that game and saw that play where he got injured, and it sure as hell looked like he tweaked his Achilles - I wonder if this isn't really something the Giants are being coy with. Normally, PF doesn't get symptomatic like that, it is worst after inactivity and tightens up. Hmmmm...

I have had plantar fasciitis 3 times in my life. It hurts the LEAST when you are active. It is manageable. Hurts like hell in the morning but once your up and running - the pain goes away alsmost completely.
I looked up a few articles. He's missed at least one practice every week since the injury.

I keep hearing that Austins 421 yards over a 2 game stretch is a Cowboys record.

My question is... how is that not an NFL record? And since it isn't, who holds that record and what were their stats?

I asked about this the other day. I think Miles is 3rd or 4th on the all-time list.

The Giants play QB friendly football.
They run the ball well and attack on defense.

To start the year everyone loaded up against their running game so Eli had his choice of 1 on 1 match-ups and he looked great.

Teams stopped loading up on the run because it hasn't been so hot this year and voila Eli looks average. Put Eli down a couple scores and he presses and looks like Tony Romo on a bad day. Amazing how that happens.

QB's 4 through 15 are pretty similar imho.

Brady, Manning and Brees might get passes but after that all these guys have issues when the running game goes kaput and they are playing from behind by more than 1 score.
Agree with you completely about Eli. He can find the open man when it's simple.

As for the last statement...Romo just had maybe the best game of his career and the Cowboys couldn't run the ball at all. Just food for thought.

Here are all of the receivers with at least 400 yards in back-to-back games since 1960 (and maybe ever) --

450 Chad Johnson, 2006 (260, 190)
448 John Taylor, 1989 (162, 286)
442 Jerry Rice, 1995 (289, 153)
421 Miles Austin, 2009 (250, 171)
413 Flipper Anderson, 1989 (336, 77)
412 Terrell Owens, 2000 (129, 283)
410 Jerry Rice, 1995 (121, 289)
400 Sonny Randle, 1962 (144, 256)

Rice's two instances came in three straight games (121, then 289, then 153).

Chad Johnson and Miles Austin are the only two guys on that list who ever had two straight games of at least 170 yards. Rice never did it in his entire career. The closest Owens ever came was 171 and 166 in 2002. Austin also is the first Cowboys player to do it.

I didn't realize Eli and Ware played some WR.

Yeah Eli sucked that bad at QB so they put him out there. But you now can read the outcome :)
