This exactly what we want the media to do. We saw what happened when the media filled this team with hot air, and crowned them before the season even started. Let our guys get slighted and dismissed a little bit, and let them play with a little bit of a chip on their shoulders.

Eli! we'll see how good he is this season

Osi! he's not even the best DE on his own team

Vick! dude hasn't even played since 2006

Albert Haynesworth over Ware. Are you kidding me? Haynesworth is so overrated.
That he is. The Commanders will find that out the hard way.

7. Ed Reed, S, Ravens
9. Troy Polamalu, S, Steelers
11. Ray Lewis, ILB, Ravens
13. Dwight Freeney, DE, Colts

Seriously, would anyone consider any of these defensive players before D Ware if a FA draft were held today?

EDIT: forgot Hayensworth on that list, too.

I would take Ware over every single one of these players if I were starting a team tomorrow. Without a second's hesitation.

Ware top 5. Witten and Ratliff top 25.

So Dallas has 1 in the top-5 and 2 in the top-25; and 5 starters in the top-100.

By way of comparisson, the Eagles have 2 in the top 25, but none in the top-5, and the Giants have NONE in the top-25. Each tema has only 4 starters in the top 100.

Yet the Eagles and Giants are favored over Dallas. Yeah!

Not sure what the problem is. 5 players is above the average for 32 teams. For a 9-7 team that got beaten 44-6 in it's last competitive game it doesn't seem unreasonable.

Eli has won a Superbowl. Therefore ESPN has anointed the NFL's all-time greatest QB.

Don't worry, it wears off. Ask Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson. :lmao2:

Haynesworth is not over rated on a talent basis and his impact on the field. The contract he got is ridiculous but he won't see all that money. Washington picked up one of the most dominating defensive players in this league and I hate them and him.

Ware definitely needs to be mentioned in the top 5 with Brady, Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, himself and Larry Fitzgerald.

Has to be one of the more moronic lists of all time. It looks like they threw a bunch of names in a hat and randomly picked them.

Here's a partial list of their "experts"

Among the NFL legends who filled out ballots for SN were Hall of Famers Dan Dierdorf, Mike Ditka, Art Donovan, Bob Griese, Dan Hampton, Ted Hendricks, Paul Horning, Sam Huff, Stan Jones, Leroy Kelly, Paul Krause, Jim Langer, Steve Largent, Larry Little, Mike McCormack, Randall McDaniel, Hugh McElhenny, Lenny Moore, Anthony Munoz, Alan Page, Mel Renfro, Gale Sayers, Lee Roy Selmon, Jackie Slater, Lynn Swann, Fran Tarkenton and Jack Youngblood.

I can understand leaving Romo out of the top 100, but Michael Vick at #88?

The guy that has thrown the MOST TDs the last 2 years in the NFL is not a top 100 player? Because he fumbled a slick ball while trying to kick a chip shot field goal? Because the defense allowed the Giants to drive 80 yards in 60 seconds? Because Anthony Fasano dropped a TD, thus we had to settle for a FG? Because Patrick Crayton dropped a pass that hit him in his hands on 3rd down. Because Patrick Crayton stopped on a route? Wow, just wow!!

Agreed.

Sorry, I cant

but Michael Vick at #88?

Definitely a sign of utter ignorance by those "experts"

Even if he had missed two yrs, he didnt belong on the list.
