From 1st and 10 this morning:
"It's obvious that he's trying to get under Bill Parcell's skin."
"You gotta get rid of the guy."
"Bill Parcells didn't even want the guy."
"Bill Parcells is 64 going on 93."
It's pathetic how hard ESPN and its pundits work to try to manufacture outrage at ANYTHING relating to Terrell Owens. Is this anything new or surprising? No. I'm surprised we didn't get this from ESPN:
"If I can't stay awake, I can't stay awake. It is as simple as that. It ain't about that at all. It's easy to sum it up if you're just talking about a speech. We're sitting here, and I'm supposed to be the franchise wide receiver, and we're talking about a speech. I mean listen, we're sitting here talking about a speech, not a game, not a game, not a game, but we're talking about a speech. Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it's my last but we're talking about a speech man. How silly is that?
Now I know that I'm supposed to lead by example and all that but I'm not shoving that aside like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I honestly do but we're talking about a speech. We're talking about a speech man. We're talking about a speech. We're talking about a speech. We're not talking about the game. We're talking about a speech. When you come to the stadium, and you see me play, you've seen me play right, you've seen me give everything I've got, but we're talking about a speech right now."
QUESTION (a dumb one): is ESPN and the media making more of this than what it is?
Go Cowboys!
