ESPN Pre-Preseason Rankings - Cowboys #4

Kinda blows up your argument doesn't it?
Depends who replaces him ... Will it be Weddle? Obviously I don't know much about him except that he was drafted high for a safety.

Does it even matter? Whoever they got is better than what the Cowboys have, right?

Weddle will be starting for them at FS, for your info. And he's in his 2nd year, but I'm sure he's better than Hamlin or Roy. Why not.
I would take an unproven 2nd round safety over Roy, yes. At least there's hope with the unknown.

wait, wait

Cleveland vs. Dallas, let's see how they stack up

Otto Graham> Romo
Jim Brown> MB3

That's true, at least with Todd Collins on the roster there's hope the Skins will have a decent QB in 08.

That had to have hurt!

Not even knowing who the Chargers' "superior safeties" are?

Agenda anyone?

It's true I can't name every starter for every team. I remembered being impressed by the Chargers secondary, so I went to their website to remind myself who they were. It still listed McCree, and I think he's a really good, underrated player. I'd like to say that my opinion still stands, but I have no idea if Weddle will be any good, so I'd have to give their secondary a grade of incomplete.

Well, as long as you can admit that your opinion is completely uninformed.

Whereas you feel completely confident in assessing the Chargers secondary having no idea what kind of player one of them is. How many Utah games did you watch?

I actually liked Weddle coming out. I followed him pretty closely. Would I take him over Hamlin? Absolutely not.

So let me see if I get this right.

McCree impressed you so much you couldn't remember his name or whether or not he was even still on the team. Interesting.

The Chargers liked him too, they traded a couple of picks to go get him last year. He has, however, done absolutely nothing to consider him an upgrade over even Patrick Watkins yet.

Actually I couldn't remember Clinton Hart's name. And I didn't realize McCree had left. But there are plenty of times, I think to myself "I was really impressed by the way that middle linebacker played (or any position)," without remembering names.

Yeah, it was Hart's name he couldn't remember and McCree who he didn't remember wasn't on the team anymore - get it straight!

Oh, but they're still better than Dallas' safeties, whether they're on the team or not!

:lmao:

Compounding a stupid post with another stupid post does not help your credibility

So I guess it's safe to say you prefer Hamlin and RW? I think Hamlin gets too much love on this board. I think he's lumped in with a whole bunch of safeties who do their jobs, but aren't game-changers. He did have five picks last year which is pretty impressive. Of course, so did Hart...

it wasn't a stupid post it was his opinion. eric weddle atleast had a few big plays last year unlike #38

Yeah, Roy had no big plays last year.

And it was a stupid post because his post had nothing to do with whether or not our guys were good or whether their guys are better, he simply doesn't like either of the guys we've got.

He's got no reasoning other than "I saw this guy once and he must be better because he was good that one time, but I can't remember his name."

My reasoning is that I've seen your guys quite a few times, and I know what they can do. I've seen the Chargers fewer times, but I like what I saw. Yes, that's my reasoning.

Hamlin and Roy have more pro bowls between them (6) than Hart and Weddle have years starting between them (1).
