ESPN Pre-Preseason Rankings - Cowboys #4

Yeah, Roy had no big plays last year.

And it was a stupid post because his post had nothing to do with whether or not our guys were good or whether their guys are better, he simply doesn't like either of the guys we've got.

He's got no reasoning other than "I saw this guy once and he must be better because he was good that one time, but I can't remember his name."
name 3 big plays not including a 3rd down stop against miami

it wasn't a stupid post it was his opinion. eric weddle atleast had a few big plays last year unlike #38

Yes it was a stupid post, the first one getting names wrong and players who aren't on the team, and second saying he would take an unproven second round safety over Roy is ignorant, you taking his side proves how ignorant it was

Hamlin and Roy have more pro bowls between them (6) than Hart and Weddle have years starting between them (1).
True. I personally don't believe that RW deserves to have been five times. But at the time I remember thinking he was a really good safety after his rookie season. I think that Hamlin's nod was due to the Cowboy's overall success and his high interception mark. But I'm not going to argue that the Chargers safeties are better because Weddle could be a huge flop. The only time I remember seeing him was in the playoffs last year, when he picked off Manning, but that doesn't mean he's going to be any good.

I didn't get any names wrong. I did think that McCree was still on the team, and that's why I called their DBs better. Now that I know he's no longer there, I'm withholding judgment. The Chargers do seem to think that Weddle will be an upgrade over McCree.

why? the reason he's not a Charger anymore is because he was terrible in '07

your argument isn't very strong, it's vague to say the least

So I guess it's safe to say you prefer Hamlin and RW? I think Hamlin gets too much love on this board. I think he's lumped in with a whole bunch of safeties who do their jobs, but aren't game-changers. He did have five picks last year which is pretty impressive. Of course, so did Hart...

Safe to say at least I know their names.

Your lack of knowledge on the subject makes you look like a :mule:

Just stop responding.

You picked the wrong person to try and start another anti-roy argument with, because I simply don't care. He's a Cowboy and will be for the foreseeable future, so that's that.

You've already unsuccessfully championed a "McFadden will be a Cowboy" campaign, you sure you want to ride this particular horse as well?

That can't mean good things for the dynamic duo of "That one guy?" and "What's his face?" that you saw on T.V. "That one time?" when they played "What are they called?"

Cleveland vs. Dallas, let's see how they stack up

Otto Graham> Romo
Jim Brown> MB3
I think the steelers are the better too!
Bradshaw>Romo
Harris>Barber
Swann/Stallworth>Owens and Glenn :lmao2:

Way too early for this, but it's the off season and I'll take it. Not too bad actually.

I dont know what your talking about, they are stil capable of playing at a very high level:)

I'm sure, at the very least, they could manage to pick up some timely Pass Interference calls against us....

call me old fashioned in my ranking preference, but i consider the previous super bowl winner #1 until regular season proves otherwise

My reasoning is that I've seen your guys quite a few times, and I know what they can do. I've seen the Chargers fewer times, but I like what I saw. Yes, that's my reasoning.

Nothing wrong about subjective opinions. In football they are often more valuable in assessing talent than objective 'facts'. I've always thought it was better to use both before making another subjective opinion on what to do with it.
