Oh so true. It's not about football in today's NFL.
The WWF is alive and well.
Oh so true. It's not about football in today's NFL.

If they money is out there and he has not accepted it, then it means it is not just about the money. Not really hard to understand.
"I'm a guy that grew up with two older brothers," Prescott said. "You understand what a brotherhood means, not only for just this team but the fraternity of the NFL and the players. The money is out there and the money can happen. It can be done. There's ways to make everything work for both ways. That's in that sense it's always about pushing the envelope for the next man."
Flamma, you are now officially my hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!When the game was over.
Well said and it gives me more perspective to think about. I think it’s really smart to pointing out that QBs are in the role likely due to leadership traits. Not holding out likely shows other more things than it ever shows leadership. For example, he doesn't want to be fined and lose money everyday because he knows an extension here or elsewhere could be pushed into doubt and he knows losing hundreds of thousands of dollars will diminish his capability to live really comfortably. It could also be a sign that he's just greedy. It could also be due to fear because there's a young QB on the roster that was a former 3rd pick in the draft that is waiting in the wings that could gain more repetitions in his absence and possibly prove quicker that this player is worthy to be the next starting QB on the team and take his place.
Plenty of people have chosen to lose money for their principles, i.e., they can't be bought off. They are typically known as people with integrity. I'm not saying Dak is one way or the other, I'm just pointing out a general observation about the human condition that is true.
Leadership primarily has to do with being the central figure that others gather around and rely on to accomplish a goal. And they have that quality because they are also good at doing that. QBs in general are known as the field generals (and a general is the leader), and you see the former literally manifested there with all the players on a team gathered around them in the huddle. If players see a QB constantly choking and not doing his job and becoming a hindrance to success in certain key situations, then they (like the fans) are not going to think he's a good leader. Success in leading a team to a goal is almost always what leadership is about.
Fine. Does not change that he is going to get market value.....whether in Dallas or someplace else. If they cannot come to an agreement, then it will be someplace else. But for Dallas and/or it's fans to say "we want Dak, but only at 40m/year" is just crazy talk! It's not rocket science that he's been here for what 9 years and hasn't gotten us further in the playoffs, if he did, there would be no issue!
If you think a couple of million for the players is way more than enough....then yes, I find that attitude DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!A couple of million is way more than enough, and you can kick rocks with your labeling people "disgusting" for it.
If the NFL suddenly reduced salaries down to the 100,000 to 500,000 nearly every current player would still take it and play. And if they don't then there are plenty who will.
A couple of million is multi-generational wealth. The vast, VAST majority of people will never see that kind of money and yet they make it by just fine.
If you don't like us talking about money then convince the NFL to get rid of the salary cap, and stop making the details of contracts public.
For not being emotionally invested you sure do crap on him a lot.Again, I’m not emotionally invested in Dak like you guys, so hate isn’t an emotion that ever enters into the picture. Besides, I just pointed out what he’s said. They just happen to be two incongruous things.
What kind of science has happened over the last 28 years? It's not rocket science that he's been here for what 9 years and hasn't gotten us further in the playoffs, if he did, there would be no issue!
His “Move on“ comment was gold and spot on.His agent needs to get Dak away from the subject at hand more often.
His “move on “ comment, ....now this
Shows arrogance
Needs to learn word salad that says nothing
His “followers” will still absorb it
Well he has crapped the bed in the playoffs a lot so…For not being emotionally invested you sure do crap on him a lot.
You’re not on the team. You’re not in the locker room. You’re not out there on the practice field. You’re not in your backyard football field throwing to your WR’s. You‘re blind by your hate as you can’t even acknowledge not holding out is showing leadership. Move on.That sounds like all 32 starting QBs. Like I said there’s nothing distinguishable on the field that shows he’s a good leader. I wouldn’t say he is a bad one but just more-so a typical QB.
Dak is demonstrating he is 100% in control and their is nothing GM Jethro can do about it.His “Move on“ comment was gold and spot on.
You're not either, so why are you giving your opinion? You’re not on the team. You’re not in the locker room. You’re not out there on the practice field. You’re not in your backyard football field throwing to your WR’s. You‘re blind by your hate as you can’t even acknowledge not holding out is showing leadership. Move on.
Not holding out is showing leadership. lmao. You're not either, so why are you giving your opinion?
If you think 50 million/year is not enough then I am more disgusted than you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If you think a couple of million for the players is way more than enough....then yes, I find that attitude DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!
FocusedFocused
Leader
Not greedy
Will take a discount @America's Cowboy
What can i say
The complete package
FOR ANOTHER TEAM
By compounding matters? Right, that probably sounds smart in your world. But you just wrong (but sensibly deleted).....that Dak probably hold's a grudge because of Jerry trading for Lance. He is definitely standing up and taking command.
He is making GM Jethro pay for his dumb trade and waste of cap space.
