Really, why am I not surprised that our player acquisition strategy is weighted toward representation instead of performance and fit?

I like Davis better than Sanchez slightly if only because of upside, but let's not pretend he is soooo much better that he deserves a long term deal. Last I checked Sanchez for all his butt-fumbleness has won a few playoff games in his career.
