ESPN: Referee Jeff Triplette's crew has now ejected five players from games this season

And we were blitzing a lot more, though not sure of why, but perhaps it is just the Browns...

Has anyone seen the isolation of the play that got Irving ejected? Not that he was blameless, he was clearly continuing after the whistle, but from the video it seems he was just jawing and the Browns Erving held Irving's facemask, then ripped off his helmet and then threw it at him.

It doesn't seem proportional to eject them both.

They were not messing around. They threw out Cam Erving, David Irving, they even searched to see if Michael Irving was there too.

Good thing it wasn't in the old Texas Stadium.

The officials have been horrible this year.

They have been. to be a bit fair, they have alot of convoluted rules to look out for w/ bs interpretations to deal with on the fly these days. they are told to lean towards ejection and penalties.

I don't see why Irving was thrown out. Erving, I can see. He used Irving's helmet and struck him with it. That's an automatic ejection.

Maybe both players used certain language that can get them automatically ejected, like the N word, a gay slur, or a physical threat.

He got his helmet ripped out, than thrown at him. Seems odd he got tossed as well.

I didn't see a kick. When Cam threw the helmet at him it hit his leg area. He did a little hop step when that happened. Don't think it was a kick. Cam even shoved the ref a little after the helmet throw.

Them working part time isn't about the money. They all make 6 figures for part time work. That's what the ref strike was about a few years ago.they demanded part time hours with full time pay. A lot of them are Drs and attorneys. They wanted to be able to keep double dipping their salaries.

Watch his right leg when the ref tries to pull him away. He takes a swipe at the guy with his leg. That some probably why.

Their ref was pushing him away when he took a week swipe with his right leg. He may have never made contact, but the intent and when the ref has his hands on you at the time...
