Miles has made millions off that one big game in KC.

He also had a great supporter in Romo. I do think he did have his shares when convinging the FO to sign him.

And i also think the FO learned its lessons not to trust Romo too much in the future (see Murray).

1 year, $2.3 million with $700k in incentives... Chip Kelly spending like he's in a strip club

$2.3 million on a 1 year deal for a guy that spends most of the season in the trainer's hot tub.

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Whats next, Chippy going to the strip club and "making it rain"?

Chip Kelly is crafty like a fox, a heavily medicated emotionally unstable fox with delusions of grandeur. Keep those off the wall signings coming Crazy Chip Kelly.

You go, Miles...drain some more over-the-hill salary from the Eagles. Musical quarterbacks and way over paying for Murray....hey, they could trade off their last remaining draft picks for Demarcus Ware...and make this fan giddy.

How much of his salary is guaranteed? It would not surprise me if Austin isn't on the Day 1 roster. Only to be brought week 2 if he shows something in camp and can stay healthy. That way his salary isn't guaranteed for the whole year since he is a vested veteran.

Not exactly sure just what Miles has left in those battered hammies of his but I'm glad to see he's wanted, even if it's by one of our most hated division rivals. I'm really just hoping our secondary is worthy of passing their tests more capably than they did last season. Let's hope an improved pass rush will further that cause.

Hopefully with an improved pass rush and the addition of a CB in the draft, maybe a S, we can pass the test!

Report: Miles Austin joins Eagles

PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles signed wide receiver Miles Austin to a one-year contract, according to a report by the NFL Network.

Miles Austin joins his third team in three seasons by signing with the Eagles, according to a report.
The report said Austin's deal is worth $2.3 million, with an additional $700,000 in incentives.

Austin, 30, spent the 2014 season with the Cleveland Browns after eight years with the Dallas Cowboys. In 12 games last season, Austin caught 47 passes for 568 yards and two touchdowns. He went on injured reserve for the final four games after injuring a kidney during a game.

The Eagles were left thin at wide receiver with the departure of starter Jeremy Maclin via free agency. Maclin, the Eagles' leading receiver in 2014, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the second season in a row that the Eagles' leading receiver left the team. Last year, the Eagles released DeSean Jackson, who later signed with Washington.

Riley Cooper started opposite Maclin in 2014. Jordan Matthews, a second-round pick in the 2014 draft, was the slot receiver. Josh Huff was also expected to return to the lineup this season.

Coach Chip Kelly said the Eagles believed there was excellent depth at wide receiver in this year's draft. But signing Austin gives them a solid option without having to rely on the uncertainties of rookies.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Austin was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cowboys in 2006. His best season was 2009, when he caught 81 passes for 1,320 yards and 11 touchdowns, all career highs.

Over the past four seasons, Austin has missed 15 games due to injuries. Along with the kidney injury in 2014, he had some hamstring issues in 2011 and 2013 while with the Cowboys. Dallas released Austin in June, and he signed with Cleveland.
