Tell us about it.;)

Two of the Cowboys three Super Bowl losses were to the Steelers.

I am not big on cowboys history. Were those the super bowls the steelers won in the 70's? I started going to games in 1983 but I just liked going. Didn't care who was playing or what was happening. I'm only 28 so I didn't start actually paying attention to games until the mid 1990's. I liked to watch certain players though and deion sanders was one of them. So there for a few seasons I made it a point to watch the cowboys. But that is all I know of the cowboys super bowls. I loved jimmy johnson as a kid.

I completely agree. Sacks or not, pressure is pressure. If you can get a guy to alter his throw or mess up his timing that can be just as effective as a sack. A lot of it depends on which hawks o-line shows up. The one that can block like in the jags game or the one that can't figure out who to block like in the cards game. The cards linebackers and/or safeties were constantly showing blitz in the A gaps and then running thru them untouched. The RBs were not much help and our TE spent a lot of his time helping to block on matt's blind side. It was a bad day overall for our blocking efforts.

I understand what you're saying and in general I agree. You have to have at least pressure to help your DBs our. Hits are better and a sack is even better. But sacks bring more negatives to the offense and positives to the defense. The ability to sustain a drive is greatly affected by a sack.

Like you, I didn't watch football in earnest until the 1990s. I'm only 31. But I've been regaled with stories about the infamous pass interference call involving Lynn Swann and numerous other sordid tidbits.

I would never dispute that in any way. All I was saying is that if a sack cannot be accomplished then pressure can make the difference. I count hits as pressure too. Really anything you can do to stop the qb from what he wants to do is pressure to me.
