ESPN: Sizing up Seattle's chances against Cowboys

Snake bit might be a good word to describe the Seahawks over the past two seasons.

It's fitting that the Cowboys seemed to get healthy during the Seahawks' bye week. Seattle visits a suddenly surging Cowboys team in Week 8.

A stress fracture was supposed to be limiting Cowboys pass-rusher DeMarcus Ware, right? Ware collected two more sacks and forced a fumble during the Cowboys' 37-21 victory over the Falcons on Sunday. Ware then signed a lucrative extension Monday, putting more wind in his sails while the Seahawks wait to see which backup will match up against him.

Damion McIntosh, come on down. You're the next starting left tackle unless Sean Locklear suddenly gets healthy or Walter Jones returns unexpectedly.

Seattle is a somewhat healthy offensive line away from challenging within the NFC West.

Cornerback Marcus Trufant will return this week. Linebacker Leroy Hill will probably return this week. Middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu's injury apparently isn't as bad as first thought. Getting any or all of those players back will help the Seahawks, but none of those players will help Seattle where the team needs help the most.

That's a tough situation for a team heading into a stretch with four of its next five games on the road. If I were the Seahawks, I would rather have a healthy Jones than Trufant, Hill and Tatupu back from injuries. That's how critical the situation on the Seahawks' offensive line has become.

We will rack up the score just to embarasses them and we will continue to do so for revenge for the horrendous playoff loss they put us through.

We lose this game and it goes right back in the crapper.

I think we hang 50 on those fools.

Yes, we can not afford to have a let down against them. I will be at the game so I hope we do hang 50 on them.

We are certainly capable of it. We need to keep the momentum going.

I hope Garrett goes in w/that kind of mentality, no conservatism please. And if Ware can get 2 sacks against a very good Atlanta OLine, then he should have 5-6 sacks against the pathetic scrubs that Seattle is calling an OL.

:D

We seem to like to do the opposite of what's expected, though.

Terrence Newman and Jon Kitna...

Newman: "So how do you think we'll do this week, Jon?"
Kitna: "I don't know, you're a good corner, but you're no Marcus Trufant. And that number 56 doesn't know what he's doing."

The way Ware dominated Walters last year he might not be in too big of a hurry to get on the field this week. :)

I just hope this isn't the classic trap game. Looking ahead to at Philly the following week.

Seattle isn't a bad team, Dallas will have to come out and punch them in the mouth and limit the mistakes.

No trap games anymore. Wade and several player's jobs depend on strong showings from here out.

We kick the ever loving **** out of the Seahawks on Sunday.

This is not going to be a trap game. This team is focused right because they know a loss like this and the media will never let them hear the end of it.

Seattle isn't bad in the sense of St. Louis or Washington but they are closer to those teams than they are let's say the Bears. In other words, Seattle's not that good either.

If Seattle wants to win they are going to need to bring their greasy ball.

I don't think that's why the Cowboys are focused, but I do think they know if they stand a chance of making the playoffs, they have to beat teams like Seattle.

I've been hoping since Kitna's acquisition he would explain what he meant by those comments lol. I may never get my wish lol.

Yea I don't think they could give a damn about the media and what they say.

I think the Cowboys need to murder the Seahawks. I don't even think a close game is acceptable. Not to sound cocky but if the Cowboys are as good as they showed on Sunday? They need to beat them by atleast 2 td's. You gotta murder lesser opponents when you run into them.

Seattle has a great chance to beat us ..... just like we have a great chance to beat them.

We have not proven to be good enough to take any game for granted.
