Hear Rumors this morning that SF will look Payton

Coughlin...

Got Jacksonville up and going quickly without a process. Got the Giants 2 SBs. Could actually out gameplan other coaches in big games over the years. Slipped recently but still deserves kudos

I think Payton would definitely choose NY over SF.

Source: Tom Coughlin informs staff he is out as Giants coach
2:22 PM ET

Tom Coughlin has informed his staff that he is out as the New York Giantscoach, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Giants are expected to make a formal announcement regarding Coughlin later Monday.

Coughlin met with Giants ownership Monday, one day after New York completed its third consecutive losing season. Coughlin coached the Giants for 12 seasons, leading them to two Super Bowl championships.

Heck of a coach. Wish we had him here in Dallas.

Very good coach did wonders at Jacksonville and with the Giants with 2 different styles of coaching personality wise. Was willing to change and it led to more success, not many coaches egos would allow them to do that.

And I think Payton would take NY or SF over Dallas if he has the opportunity.
Although if there was a coach who could handle Jerry's antics, it would be Payton by taking a page out of the book of Jimmy until Jerry fired him.
Poor Jerry. Has all the $$ in the world to buy anything in the world but can't buy a championship (with his name only atop of the trophy). He's either going to have to hire a real GM/Coach to run the team as a competitor or die trying to do it his own way.
Sad.

He should go to Miami, where he can continue to own Belichick for 2 games a season with the Dolphins.

Which should tell you, it doesn't matter what a HC does, they will always be the scapegoat.

If Garrett is ever fired, whoever we hire, fans will be calling for his head in 2 years max.

Well fans turned on Tom Landry...so yea.

I think fans would be willing to give a coach a chance if they actually saw some improvement.
