Another thing to consider, I remember Jerry Jones mentioning years ago that he likes to bring in these rookies because it's sort of a pre-curser to potential future free agent visits.

In other words, we'll meet and greet a player now, get their eyes all big and impress them with our facilities, and then 4-7 years down the line, when they're a free agent, they might say "Man, I want to play down in Dallas!"

If you are drafting for immediate gratification vs longterm performance, you are drafting behind the curve.
