I think you have to look at the whole to decide who should be the starter. There's been a lot of great QBs in NFL history, but I don't think you can just mix-and-match them and expect the same results. Let's say you think Big Ben is a better QB than Russell Wilson. Maybe you think he'd have made Seattle even more successful than they have been. I don't agree. I think Wilson's game matches the team better. I think Aikman is better than Ben, but I don't think he'd be as successful with the teams Ben has won with.

I guess there are those that differ. That think you can rank QBs and plug the better one into the place of one that's worse and get a better result. I just think there's more subtlety to it than that and situation and offense has a lot to say about efficacy.

In Tony Romo's first 5 starts in 2006, the Cowboys went 4-1 and he posted an 85 Total QBR. In Dak Prescott's first 5 starts in 2016, the Cowboys went 4-1 and Prescott's Total QBR was 86.6.
That's uncanny. mirror images. Hopefully for us Dak can mirror Romo's total career

Gee what sort of OK and RB support did we have then?

Statistics are stupid minus context.

Based on one matching stat?

The educational system in our country has failed.

Gotta admit -- not sure I understand your strong displeasure of this particular stat.

Romo was fantastic when he got his chance in 2006. Dak has been fantastic when he got his chance in 2016.

To be fair, Dak didn't have the luxury of sitting 3 years first. Btw, I would LOVE to pull some threads from 2006 and read the Bledsoe supporters. I was here

I don't think there were any Bledsoe supporters. He was a statue in the pocket, always getting sacked and made terrible decisions throwing the ball. The change to Romo was welcomed.

For the life of me I had no idea why Parcells stuck with him so long, he was also an interception waiting to happen.

Yeah, I don't recall a lot of Bledsoe supporters. He was a hired gun with a limited history here -- a history that was pretty underwhelming, at that.

In fact, I still have my original avatar from when Romo and his "moxie" took over. He put a breath of fresh air into this franchise and helped make Cowboy Football relevant again.

I don't know if that is true. I heard on here that Wentz kid from Philly is the future.

LOL -- yes but it's also quite possible to hear things here that you might not hear anywhere else (except Philly, perhaps.) :)
