The injury angle isn't a good one. I don't recall anyone getting hurt from it, and certainly not the Eagles. It's not something new. Teams have done it forever. The Eagles just have a giant
offensive line. It wouldn't matter whether the banned it or not. They still have success running the QB sneak whether a player pushed or not.

I think it's more than having a giant OL.
And it's more designed orchestra than a mere QB sneak.

These traditional qb sneaks don't seem to be near as consistently effective the way
the Tush Push has been...

-Some thought it was about the QB Jalen hurts...

It's been guesswork from all angles as why Tush Push has been so successful.
And apparently it's still quite a puzzle as why opposing nfl teams have failed to physically stop it.

And apparently it's still quite a puzzle as why opposing nfl teams have failed to physically stop it.

They did have a professional rugby coach help develop it a few years ago. Their left tackle, a decent one, played professional rugby. They have a highly regarded offensive line coach. And they have pretty good personnel on their offensive line. On top of that, they claim they practice the play, a lot. The Eagles have dedicated time and resource to the play. All that adds up to being proficient at it.

It’s getting intimidating. No way to know, but I would imagine they’re designing other plays off the formation that are designed to go 40 yards, not one yard. I think that’s what the other 31 teams see on the horizon. They are not interested in finding out what “wrinkles” the Eagles have in mind.

The stop to it is send a linebacker or two over the top leveraging the DL, while crashing both ends at the legs, and stop worrying with who your hitting the QB or the pushers. Hit them high and low.

It will end when the QB/pushers get hurt from head trauma by a flying lb, or leg broke by crashing de.. Right now teams are scared of the "skirt" put on QB's to keep them in games.
I don't blame the owners who pay way too much money to see their stars on the sidelines hurt, but it is getting away from football at this point.

Either let the defense actually defend, or make the move illegal, I don't care which, but don't allow the offense the advantage -- that is what is happening now. Entertainment yes, but actual football, I am not so sure anymore.

OK, more than decent. Point is they’re dedicated to the play. He’s not the only great left tackle in the league. Other teams can develop the play if they’re so inclined.

Unfortunately most rules benefit the offense at the expense of the defense.

If they are going to allow offensive players to assist players forward, the defenders should be allowed to hold the player up while others push the pile 10 yards backwards. But that doesn’t happen because of forward progress.

I don’t want player assists either direction. And I’m tired of seeing the league neutering the defense to benefit the offense.

More offense = better ratings from casual fans = more money….and that’s always the answer.

True fans of the game are the losers but they know they have us so they chase the casuals with whatever they can, and that’s never gonna be about defense.

Certainly not breaking news, just an unfortunate reality.

The hypocrisy of pretending to make a big deal out of player safety is what bugs me most. Changing the game dramatically over it then allowing that play?

Probably just goes back to the same root…money. More offense, more offense, more offense.

If you think about it that tush push play will look familiar to fans in many parts of the world. If US fans don’t like something the NFL is doing there’s always “Andy of Mayberry” reruns on some channel.
