What did he do that you think he deserved to be released?

He wasn't out getting in legal trouble. The team was losing and he felt he could help them win by having the ball thrown his way.

Was that the truth? No, but its no reason to release a player.
Gee I don't know...maybe calling the franchise QB, Jason Witten and the OC, dividing the locker room, etc. Throw in the fact he's EXTREMELY mentally unstable and the guy had to go.

wanting to help the team, and thinking you can do that by getting the ball more is not wrong.. BUT!! Going to the media and telling the world that you think your QB should throw to you more, or that they draw up plays with the TE, and there is some sort of receptions conspiracy going on.. IS a problem..

No, nothing is ever your fault Owens. It's always somebody else. Very typical of a paranoid, egomaniac. Get some mental counseling, man.
What, exactly, was his fault? I'm going to go ahead and believe everyone else in the locker room in saying that TO didn't do anything wrong. You have fun believing Barbie Carp and Ed Werder.

Get some anger management, man.

that shows exactly the difference between the players on our team now, and Owens.. our players would not throw a guy under the bus to the media, even if it was true.. unlike Owens who will throw anyone under the bus he can if only to shirk the responsibility of not performing.

Who did he throw under the bus? The team was losing, and he wasn't getting the ball. he's not the only one who saw that correlation.

Like I said, there are enough goats to be had. TO will always have his fans, no matter what. Yeah, TO was innocent, all he did was try to win:eek:

How do you ruin a great weekend of the opening of football and the enshrinement of some of the greatest players we will ever see?

You put a microphone in front of this guys mouth.

If this is all they talk about tonight shame on them.

And if he is hinting that romo and witten got him removed, or garret...GOOD. As I have said repeatedly in the past. I hope to god they did. In fact I would love to have heard witten come ride out or romo or garrett and say yea we booted him because of what he is.

Complete head case who is not worthy of even a tenth of the time people spend talking about him.

Wasn't getting the ball?! Now I know you're just as clueless as TO. :lmao2:

I was thinking the same thing. If Tony and Jason made the call to have him removed that may be one of the biggest leadership decisions a player could make.

I'm not angry at all. It's just an observation. But you are mistaken about "everyone" in the locker room saying that he didn't do anything wrong. The locker room was split, and therein lies the problem.

I wouldn't believe Werder if he had a bible in his hand. But there were numerous video's of Owens making comments that essentially threw his QB and OC under the bus. No rational person could possibly believe he wasn't pointing fingers.

If you truly believe that he wasn't even partially at fault for the controversy, then there's no point even discussing the matter with you.

NO matter how many times Romo tries to downplay that hes not the general manager and had nothing to do with T.O. being gone, B.S.

In order for him to have full control of the team, T.O. had to get out of his way.

Problem solved.

His production warranted him being cut. Too many dropped passes. If we had T.O. last year then we never get to see Miles and Miles ends up going to another team and we are stuck with a T.O. who catches 60 passes, drops 30 passes, and puts the blame on Romo and Witten. Bye T.O...

I'm thinking he may BE Owens.
Lets look at the Cowboys losses that year leading up to the comment (that was following a 3 reception 31 yard game against Pitt.) A future hall of fame reciever, coming off a year where he made 80+ grabs for 1300+ yards and 15 touchdowns; you think *those* stats were getting him the ball sufficiently?
