And neither are the Cowboys . . . . . . . . .
Well, to be honest any Cowboy fan should not be thrilled with this news. But I'd be willing to bet the fan bases of 31 other teams will be over joyed with this news.
Its amazing that Jerry has done much better at giving the fans of 31 other teams more joy when it comes to our team than he has given Cowboy fans the last 20 years.
That is a very convoluted and extreme way to look at it. And way off based.
But to each their own.
He'll be back for at least one more year. And if we stay healthy and make the playoffs in 2016 he'll be locked in for even longer.
That's nice to know.....
Man the unGarrett brigade on here aren't going to be very happy....I see a coo arising on here soon. Just ruined their Christmas Day....
Firing Garrett isn't going to do any good because Jerry keeps returning back to where he's been. He's a creature of habit. He made up his mind more than 20 years ago when he and Jimmy parted ways he'll never hire another head coach who'll receive more credit for his teams success than him. The only thing that got him to break away from that and hire Parcells was his need for a new stadium.
Once Jerry got his stadium and Parcells left he went right back to hirering coaches he can undermine. Jerry still believes that anyone of 500 coaches could coach his team which is why Garrett's job isn't in jeopardy.
Why did Jerry need Parcells to build a new stadium? I never understood that.
Just signed a five year deal. If next season is like this one, you can very well bet your *** he'll be gone.
Jerry needed a winning team it's hard to get support for a new stadium with a losing team.
and he needed credibility for the city and tax payers to buy in
It's winning that gives you the credibility to get the tax payers to buy in. Going 5-11 every year isn't going to get anyone to buy in.
The Red Apologists are still buying in at 4-10
