Wasn't Wade's job safe right up until the time he was fired???

Jerry was looking to make JG HC as fast as he could... JG was his golden boy from the moment he hired him..

It didn't matter that it was Garrett's offense that turned the ball over 19 times in 10 games and the defense still produced 10 TOs..

If anything, Garrett should have been fired and Wade should have been given a chance to bring in his own OC...

They're in so deep with him they won't turn against him. They refuse to admit they were wrong about him.

Or even do something like admit last year was the perfect storm anomaly and simply decide to wait and see.

No arguments here. I feel the same way. I am just holding out a little hope Jerry has seen the light on his failed coaching experiment.

It doesn't look like Payton is going to be available anyway. No way on Earth do I give up a top 100 pick for him.

Best thing for the franchise might be to hold onto Garrett two more years and get Payton when his contract runs out.

Thats too bad his job is not on the line. It absolutely should be. Even just to scare the living crap out of him to perform.

The problem with this team is they are too comfortable. No one needs to perform and do their job because there is no accountability. Players and coaches don't care. So long no one gets cut or fired - they are happy.

Of course not. Someone else will take the fall again. It's been five and a half years into his process and the results are abysmal. Chan Gailey only got two years. Dave Campo only got three. Since Ginger clapper is the spoiled "adopted" son, he will get more time to prove that he can't coach.

Well, when the sheer number of mediocre seasons outweigh the one, what kind of logic are you using? The answer is zero and you are doing nothing but succumbing to a massive case of wishful thinking.

No logic just asking a question.
