The hypocrisy is hilarious.

Bingo! Where are all of these critics when TO has a 4 TD game against the Stinks or when he tears up Philly on a Sunday night at Philly? They have nothing to say about production like that, but let him drop a pass and the bash fest begins. The fact that people say nothing when he does well is proof that he is expected to do well - the sign of a good, if not great, receiver.Clove;2029084 said:I don't think defensive coordinators think he's overrated.

But, then again, Sal doesn't say much that doesn't just make me laugh, shake my head, and feel sorry for him and how stupid he makes himself look and sound.
joseephuss;2028993 said:Saying he has serious negatives is a bit extreme. You don't score 129 TDs in the NFL with serious negatives. He has some negatives. He does drop a lot of passes, but not enough to say it is a serious negative.
Aren't "big plays" part of "actual on the field production"? Those big plays do occur on the field. TO averages 14.8 yards per reception, so I don't think he relies just on the big play. Michael Irvin averaged 15.9 yards per reception and he definitely was not reliant on just big plays.
Terry Glenn has much better hands than TO, but he is not near as good as TO. Crayton has better hands than TO as well, but he isn't close to TO.
TO is good. It is a fact. Like him or not and I don't like him. Actually, I don't trust him is a better way to put it. Overrated? That is a stretch. He is not underrated, either. He gets as much respect as he deserves.
If any receiver is overrated, it is Marvin Harrison and I am a fan of his. He truly is a player that disappears in the playoffs. His receptions per game and yards per game drop drastically in the playoffs from his lofty regular season numbers. He also has only scored 2 TDs in 15 post season games and both those came in the same game. No, I don't truly believe Harrison is overrated, but it is a similar argument for TO.
lockster;2029224 said:T.O isn't a better wr than Glenn. Glenn just had a knee injury this year. Glenn was the better one the year before by far. And if you don't think T.O's hands are a serious negative, then I'm glad you don't run our personnel dept. Hands come first. Also, Aikman thinks Glenn is our best wr too. Now, what will happen at this point with Glenn after the knee injury is anyone's guess. Sanders wasn't a better cb than K. Smith untill K. Smith's knee injury. However, the self-promotor sure made everyone think he was.

O come on Rampage. Most people on this forum don't like TO. I will never forgive him for the star. TO does drop a lot of balls that end drives and occasionally lose games. But anyone can see that he has remarkable talent. To be that big fast and strong is something special. Most of us will call it how it is and add our opinions.Rampage;2029021 said:kinda like how several people in this thread don't think he did anything wrong in san fran or philly. but before he was a cowboy i bet they did.

That's an excellent point. You should also note their record before TO. That just goes to show he can really blow up a team. It couldn't have happened to a better team, that's why I was thrilled Philly signed him. Hopefully when they become a decent team again, he goes back and dominate, I mean decimateYoMick;2029273 said:22-21 as a team
Now tell me what Donovan's record is since TO left? :laugh1:
