ESPN's Week 1 Power Rankings

These rankings are hilarious. I am thinking they'll be just a tad bit different in two or three weeks. Really, I could critique this up and down, but why bother?

I guess it just shows you how much expertise these so-called 'exports' have.

Yeah, preseason rankings are useless...but they have to have something to write about and people do read it. The #17 does not bother me at all. Our guys will just have to prove them wrong.

What does bother me however, is how totally negative the "local" ESPN crew is about the 'Boys season. Guys like Steve Dennis don't give them a chance in hell. They make it sound like 9 wins and no playoffs is about the cap. I know Dennis is not at all a Cowboy fan, but his tone can be infuriating.

Someone please explain to me how the Packers can go 6-10 last year and have everyone riding their jockstrap?

The ratings mean nothing, but I do like the Packers to make a big jump this year.

I imagine you all will be top 5 after dominating TB. But these ratings won't mean much until we get to November and see how every team is doing this year, not how the "experts" and mediots think they will do.

pretty absurd, considering the Raiders are 30 and not #32.

The Raiders are not nearly that bad.

Good defense and running game, playing in that division, 8-8 is not out of the question for them this season.

Meh, it doesn't matter whether we are ranked #1 or #32, it has nothing to do with how the season will play out.
