13-Jun-21 England vs Croatia Wembley Stadium, London

I'm guessing Croatia will have a very hard time winning this game. Not sure how either team or any team is doing atm, but after Croatia beat England in the World Cup im guessing England will be looking for payback and it looks like England will be at home for this game.

I hope these games are carried here in the US. I think CBS sports is doing it or Fox. Still not the same when there are no fans in stands. Some of those countries fans are just plain crazy but in a good way. They bring a lot of passion to the beautiful game.

They're still saying that they will use all venues and there will be some fans. Myself and a friend volunteered for stewarding at one of the venues and we were told last week that we're still needed.

Of course these games will be broadcast here as they have been the last several tournaments. ESPN/ABC and Univision have the broadcast rights in the USA.

I was a fan of Italy long ago for that defensive wizardry.
Going to be interesting watching this younger generation.

My version of the Blues obviously have Emerson and Jorginho.
Do the Italians have enough striker power?
I hope so. Will be interesting to see how they bounce back after falling so far.

Belotti and immobile are animals. I’m less worried about the strikers and more worried about the ability to create. Our midfield is fast and strong but technical not so much. However with that being said, Mancini is a phenomenal manager so we shall see.

Jorginho can release a top striker for sure but he lacks pace himself.
Really good technically.

I never really considered Italy possibly lacking technicians because its Italy but year that midfield has been overturned completely in 6 years.

Enjoyed the Italian mangers at Chelsea. Very decisive approach. ~15 years ago you could write 1-0 on the WC scoresheet and Italy advances without fail.

Verratti is our best midfielder but he isnt known as a playmaker or creator. We will see. We are severely lacking a Totti type this year.

Typical of Scotland the first tournament we qualify for in 23 years the furthest we get to go is London and even then who knows what's going to happen with covid restrictions

That's a big positive for Scotland. Playing close to home in a similar climate. Would you rather be playing in scorching sun somewhere like Seville or Athens?

Realistically we're not getting out the groups anyway so looking at it more for the fans. I was 16 the last tournament and nearly 40 this time round, personally I'd much rather a trip to Seville or Athens for a few days of beer, football and sun than literally 20 minutes walk from where I grew up.

4 x Euro 2021 games in Dublin have been moved as the Government wants to discourage unnecessary incoming travel until the end of June.

I was due to work as one of the stadium volunteers :(

I'm probably biased because I love the EPL but beginning to think England takes this thing.
Mount and Foden have been fan friggin tastic this year.
