I think he's a little short, when compared to Ware and Ellis.
Anyways...we are stacked at LB.
I still prefer taking a DB in 2007.
Maybe we get one in 2008.

Hostile;1969059 said:Ecstatic with him actually. I think if Ellis had not come back he'd have been a legit candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year. It is better for us that he can be groomed a bit for the role.

TEUFELI;1969935 said:1 more out there this yr, love that kid, and at 6' 2", he can play burress, moss (in superbowls) - prob not next yr, granted, but still...
I was a Talib/smith hopeful, but now, I want him bad at 28, his level of comp is a non-issue, watch his senior bowl week, kid is a stud. I just hope he doesnt blow the doors off his 40 time so he will still be around in late 1st for us. He is a young kid too (I am frustrated that T New is approaching his twilight yrs - at least as far as an nfl cb is concerned, how darn old was he when we drafted him 25?) Think this kid is 20??? (that isnt a huge deal, the main thing is...the kid can play, but it's worth mentioning)
TheCount;1969940 said:Oh I know, there just was no Cromartie in the draft we were discussing.
Also I think TNEW is just entering his prime, CB's tend to hit it in their late late 20's to early 30's.
TEUFELI;1969947 said:Fair enough, but T New is what 30? Yeah, I mean he has had two GREAT yrs back to back, I am just saying it seems like yesterday he was our #1 pick, and in 2 yrs, he will be a 33 yr old nfl cornerback? Prime...okay, but there arent very many nfl corners that played much past age 34 at the same level they once did (darrell green being the obvious exception) Its nobody's fault he is how old he is, and was when we drafted him. (think he was 25, which is old for a rookie) You dont pass on drafting a great older rook, just thought Cromartie's almost extreme youth was worth mentioning.

In Ellis' case, he's at least 3 inches taller than Spencer.
It's just a fact. It's not a judgment on his skills.
Like I said, I'm indifferent to Spencer.
LOL. I had forgot that this guy got upset that we drafted a college DE to play OLB because he didn't realize that almost all 3-4 OLBs were college DEs. Oh the hilarity.eduncan22;1970227 said:We drafted a DE that is smaller than our two starting OLB'ers.

Seriously, I think he's going to be a heck of an OLB for us. He's got a great first step and his hands are inordinately strong... once he gets a hold on the ballcarrier, that guy is going down.
