Everyone wants to move Henry to FS But..

That poses another problem/question: why is Jerry opining on this at all? Henry moving to safety or TO returning or new assistants being hired should be left to the head coach alone, who controls all personnel decisions. That guy might be Parcells or it might be someone else in the coming weeks, but Jerry should have zero input on on-the-field issues. Henry should only move to safety if it makes sense to the guy with the whistle around his neck.

By all accounts, personnel decisions have been the province of the 3-member panel of Jerry, Bill, and Jeff.

Henry is a darn good CB when he's truly healthy.

I feel pretty good about Watkins.

If the choice is between 1) Watkins starting at FS or 2) a rookie starting at CB, I'd be tempted to go with Watkins.

I'd like to see the Cowboys draft a high quality punt returner who has solid potential as a nickel back (i.e., a Devin Hester type), somewhere in the 2nd - 4th rounds, if the draft panned out that way.

Eric Weddle might be your guy here. He's a Safety from Utah. This kid is a player. He's a safety but he can play all DB positions. He played CB in both Freshman and Junior years. He has good coverage skills and he can tackle. He's played QB, RB, is a punt returner and a holder. He might be the most versitile athlete in America. He really is a player. Norm: "Has there been any consideration on moving Henry to FS?"

Jerry: "Yes. That is something that's being considered."

Its not as if Jerry said, YES I am going to move Henry to FS. Its not even a definite thing.. its just something they've thought about.

I think the fact that Henry's agent actually came out and made a statement about the move speaks volumes, though. In addition Gil Brandt talked about the move as if it were set in stone. I think there's a pretty good chance it happens or at least is attempted.

i don't know if he can return punts, but David Irons from AU might be around in the 2-4 rd range and would be a decent pick up if we are not looking for someone that as upside, but not NFL rookie starter.

LOL cool to see Eric getting some love on these boards. Eric is a great kid and comes from my hometown. It would be a dream to see him become a Cowboy! The kid is a player and does live up to the billing that ABQ gave him.

Well, if Jerry signed CB Asante Samuel and FS Deon Grant, then both positions would be resolved and Henry could be traded for draft picks.

The Cowboys biggest problems stem from giving the wrong players huge contracts, like Bradie James and Roy Williams... Not to mention a certain right guard who's beyond repair, I believe his name would be Rivera.

If Henry does a better job at FS then anyone we have had there for the past 3 years, then its a good move- OF COURSE providing we get a good CB to replace him.
