But you never get the hint.

is it normal for one to call for his/her own execution?

If a staff member has a problem with this post, then they will handle it. I'm not looking to stir up trouble, just getting tired of the constant bashing by the same ole members who seem to enjoy it immensely. LOL. To each his own I suppose.

I think it will come down to either Harrington, Carr or Rattay --young with future potential ...and--we have not one but 2 QB coaches on staff who could hopefully do something with one of these guys

I think Romo is the guy, and I think Brad Johnson is a perfect backup that can come in and win a game if he has to.

when you truely get tired of the bashing, stop posting the same topics over and over again because then we wont have a reason to bash any more.

get the pictures or need it enlarged?

Brad Johnson is around 40 years old I believe. 5 years ago he would have been a good pickup....not now.

When have I ever bashed you? This is the first time I recall even replying to one of your threads or posts since before you went on a several month hiatus.

Wasn't referring specifically to you my friend. You and I just have a difference of opinion on this one.

I agree he is not ideal for the long term, but I would rather have Brad Johnson coming in to win a game for me in December than David Carr, Tim Rattay or whoever else is out there. I think he is the ideal backup. Hell, if Vinnie is still a backup that tells me that there aint a lot of quality backups out there.

I didn't say anything about it not being a valid topic. I do feel it has been discussed ad nauseum and that there really isn't anything more that can be said.

My posts had nothing to do with the importance of the topic - it had to do with the re-creation of a thread every single day, rather than just bumping the original. There is little need for there to be a new thread on the same topic every day.
I happen to enjoy this topic a lot.

Gee, golly...I started four threads...2 of them about QB prospects and 2 about Romo. Nevermind the fact that none of these four posts have absolutely nothing to do with this thread. If I'm missing something, please take the time to spell it out for me. Not sure why I'm being singled out - perhaps you can explain that as well. Thanks.
What is sad is that some only want to waste time attacking the author of threads versus actually responding the the subject thread. LOL.

Hmmmm....... lets see shall we? Here's the title and topic of the four posts Z listed and this one.

Todd Collins
Skins may be releasing this fellow. He would come dirt cheap. Don't know a lot about him other than he is a long time student of Al Saunders' playbook. He may be the veteran that we are looking for to back up Romo AND he would come dirt cheap.
Who can provide us more info on this guy?
Thanks

Thought on Tim Couch being our backup???
Who here knows the medical status of one Tim Couch? If he has mended, shouldn't he be considered? We could definitely get him on the cheap. A former # 1 overall who never really could flourish elsewhere. A fresh start in Valley Ranch may be just what the doctor ordered for this guy.
Let's have some discussion on this topic. Couch could be a diamond in the rough as far as a veteran back up QB.
Thoughts?

Are we fooling ourselves hitching our wagon to Tony Romo?
Who here thinks that we could possibly be kidding ourselves by hitching our wagon to one undrafted T Romo as our franchise QB for years to come? Don't get me wrong fellas, I was pleasantly surprised in what I saw in TR last season (although he seemed to fade a bit down the stretch). Have we seen the high tide of TR's career already? Just wondering if this is a chancy proposition and if we would be better served moving up in the draft and picking more of a sure thing. These Cinderalla stories don't happen too often. Will TR really be the exception to the rule? I guess it boils down to: is he really something special or just fool's gold.
Let's get some objective, thoughtful opinions going on this very important topic, before we sign this guy to a huge long term extension.
Looking forward to hearing from all.

Anyone concerned about a "sophomore jinx" with Tony Romo???
Who here is concerned about the dreaded "sophomore jinx" when it comes to TR?
Next season will be his 2nd one as a starter and it would be nice to think that TR is definitely our long term solution. Admittably, I'm somewhat concerned as opposing defenses definitely did a better job defending him in down the stretch last season.
Thoughts?

Exactly when do you all suppose we will sign a backup QB???
This is an issue of major importance that has been much talked about on virtually all Cowboy boards. What exactly do you fellas think is going on behind the scenes? Who is on the short list? My thought is that we are scrutinizing very closely just in case it turns out that Romo was a flash in the pan. In that case we need a guy who can play long term and has some proven talent, versus some stopgap journeyman. I have the feeling this may even involve a trade.
I'm curious to the thoughts of others here on this topic.
Thanks guys. Make it a great day!

Yeap...... sounds pretty repetative to me..... wording isn't exactly the same but yeah looks like the concept is still there to each one.
