Expect more of the same in 2025

The Fish show tonight he was saying many times AO should be cut, he would cut him.
Also he said Stephen is full of crap on what he said. Fish was mad about these 2 things lol.

It doesnt matter to me, but I am surprised SJ would already be saying this. No reason to be saying this now.
Cowboys are a joke, I dont know how they keep their fans. Jones boys are made of teflon lol nothing sticks.
Everybody making excuses minus Fish. Ball get punted and you turn and its bouncing toward you-you know your team didn't fumble it. Get away from the ball!!!! No! I want to be a hero and dive into the Kettle...At worse he'd be on the practice squad for the rest of this season if I had any voice in it.

The Cowboys are not extending MM but I could see Zimmer getting the job with a new offensive coordinator. The opening poster is right about everything else. That is why we will draft Jeanty if he is there at our pick. He would be the juice to a slow offseason.

That's not an excuse. Daks contract is still terrible regardless of how they would have spent the money.
Not how they would have spend it, it’s how they would spend it in the future

They just refuse to try to get better other than cross their fingers and hope they kill a draft class. They'll sign no one of note, they'll let some guys run off and then they'll claim the young guys on the roster and their draft picks will solve their issues. And then the 2025 season will be a repeat of 2024. We are entering an even darker era of Cowboys football than we've recently experienced.

I am actually getting close to just becoming nothing but a casual fan. Honestly, the worst part about that is I'd miss talking with you guys more than I would miss watching a mediocre product.

The Jones' have almost sucked all the fun out of being a Cowboys fan for me.

Bad contracts made sure of that.

No surprise.
Other teams have big contracts. Other teams also have smarter GMs who know how to work the cap better.

While we can point to a few players, the biggest issue with this team isn't our cap situation. It's the two idiots running the show.

I still say the Patriots did it best. They would trade their best players for draft picks rather than pay them the next level of salary.

I agree with the both of you guys but the reality is Jerry ain't about to let Dak individually cost over 89 million towards the cap next season.
History says otherwise. You know the drill. He'll restructure it and do the standard Jerry/Stephen kick the can down the road of continued crippling overpaid contracts.
"IF" he just woulda let it play out last year and not extend him...

What a ******* mistake.
4 more years.
Minimum.
Exactly what a lot of self proclaimed "football guru's" wanted. I hope they are as happy as they said they would be.

We ran into the same problem in the late 90s. This team never learns anything.

Hi. My name is Stephen. My dad's a billionaire and gave me this job. I can't do it but I'm going to pile up the excuses and keep blaming everyone else for the things I should be doing. Meanwhile, keep buying tickets and jerseys. Gotta send the grandkids to Harvard and buy some boats.

How about all the dead Dak money that’s being pushed into 2030 and 2031?

When is the supposed window to win under the “secret sauce” plan?

These two are just pathetic. They aren’t at all qualified but happen to own the team and want to be celebrities.
They really need to just sell the team. To anybody. Anybody.

Agreed. These are dark times to be a Boys fan.

When the owners are telling you to your face that they choose not to improve the team, why support them? Why bother? I'm close to calling it quits too.

No worries folks our Leader will Gimp till he drops to get us in the Superbowl in 2025!!! :muttley:

-Sitting out free agency once again
-McCarthy most likely back (Zimmer too)
-Dak 1 year older and probably even less mobile
-No Overshown
What a disaster, and all predicated upon that Dak contract..... oh Jerry, what have you done , if only you'd of waited.

66% of the CAP on five players.

Needs at: WR, DE, DT, RB and O-Line......with us being in the bottom 10 in available CAP (that's for all the 'why didnt we spend everything in 2024').

Yep....and for those CAP DENIERS, we are bottom 10 in CAP for 2025 and similar in 2026, which means we're highly unlikely to outspend at the top end of FA.

Dak's contract doesnt even allow us to spread the CAP into the distant future (ala Hurts) as he's not getting another contract and so the bill be paid in full in 4 years.....and we arent anywhere near competing between now and then. We cant even tear it down, with the NTC's Jerry, in his wisdom, allows
