Expect more of the same in 2025

There is a Twitter poster, Joey Ickes, who makes a pretty compelling argument that the Joneses, compared to other owners, are relatively cash-strapped. It is a very persuasive argument that we don't really talk about here.

Yeah he makes some very interesting arguments too. If people want to know why the Eagles can spend like they can look at what they just did yesterday. I don't think Jerry would even consider selling a minority stake of the team. Some of the things joey claims make a lot of sense in how Jerry runs the organization.

You can't forget how old Jerry is. He doesn't have the time to sit around and rebuild this team and look to 2030. He's going to do everything he can to win in the very near future.

They seemingly punted on this season-other than extending the stars. Dak was 31 this season and coming off his best year, but they are now going to heavily invest in his near term future?

I rather doubt it based on Stephen’s comments-plus the Micah contract is coming. They came very close to being a bottom 5 team this season. Nothing will stop the downward spiral with the QB contract coupled to a broken decrepit body. And the Jones know it now. I never realized the way to guarantee a major rebuild was to give an aging Dak such an absurd contract. We are going to get the rebuild we all wanted, but the Jones did it by accident!

They will use dak's 90 million as their excuse to be less than bottom feeders once again. Who they decide to spend money on is asinine and is based less on talent/production and more on marketability.

What was the excuse the previous decade as they basically haven't signed a FA of note since Brandon Carr?

Cheap , tight and useless

-McCarthy most likely back (Zimmer too)
-Dak 1 year older and probably even less mobile
-No Overshown

Prepare for another incoming crapfest of a season.
Until we get a professional GM, this team is going nowhere fast.
Such a shame to see this once elite, storied franchise become such a joke.
