Contrary to popular believe Jerry hates firing coaches. After this season Mike will effectively be a lame duck coach with one year remaining on his deal. The logical thinking was that to get an extension you had to wait until the playoffs and see what happens then.

This is Jerry we are talking about. Don't rule out an extension in the regular season. A win against 49ers in week 5 and I could see it happening.

Of course he will get extended. Everything that sucks for dallas gets extended. Extending this bonehead will seal Dallas’s fate for a decade or more. So why not? We havent won anything in 30 years. Why not another 30?

Hell no, there will be no extension until after the season and if it ends in the divisional round (or sooner based on today) then Fat Mike can go stand in the unemployment line.
