I don't post here much but....Just a few lines from Extreme Skins. This was my first time visiting their site. I had no idea these guys were so delusional, or is it just me.

"McNabb is the reason this team has unlimited potential. Combined with the fact that this team has an amazing coaching staff, the sky is the limit."

"McNabb adds leadership which has been lacking from the qb position for a decade.

But he also brings an approach to the game where an opponent has to beat his team, he is not going to throw away the game on interceptions and turnovers.

He has the lowest interception ratio in the NFL among starting quarterbacks and a positive turnover differential along with limited injuries are MAJOR FACTORS in determining which teams make the postseason".

I don't think McNabb is what puts the Commanders into the post season this year but I do think he is a much better QB than what they have had in recent years. I look for the Skins to show improvement and think 8-8 is a good possibility for them.

Every fan forum believes that they have a chance to do this big things this year, that’s what makes the off-season so exciting the idea that change will yield great results, some will some wont. So I see no difference for that site.

I expect the Giants to be the team to drag *** this year in the NFC East. Washington definitely got better in several areas. (first being coaching)

The Giants on the other hand got worse everywhere. The best move they made was signing Bullock to replace the injured Antonio Pierce.

Unlimited potential is a bit of a reach (putting it mildly) when you look at all the holes they have on the offense and their age, i think his leadership is probably more then a little overrated as well, but the rest of it is not that far fetched at all.

I'm not exactly scared of the Commanders this season to put it that way, but they should be much better then that god awful team they had last year

I can understand the Skins fans being optimistic. I'd be optimistic if I were them also. Hell, they just got their "Parcells" that we waited for for years. Unfortunately, they got their Drew Bledsoe, too. Don't get me wrong, McNabb is a better QB at this stage of his career than Bledsoe was when he came here. But, the fact remains that, he's on the wrong side of his career and he's not good enough to overcome a poor offensive line or carry a Pro Bowl backfield from 2005.

The Skins will be better this year, and that's something for their fans to hang their hats on. The whole "unlimited potential" angle is laughable, though. There are limits and they start and end with McChoke and an O-line that isn't night and day better than the unit that they sent out there last season. They did make some moves and they should be improved but there's a whole lot of question marks on the O-line.

I think one thing that will help is that the offense will be a lot less vanilla than with Zorn. Shanahan will mix things up and create room for his playmakers to make plays. I don't think it will vault them into the playoffs this year, but they'll be improved and a tough team to beat.

seems pretty mild and level headed compared to our trainwreck Dez Bryant threads

I think the Giants season comes down to their defense which was a mess for them last season.

Don't underestimate the skins this year. We better be ready week one or we will get shocked. New coach, new QB, Sunday night football in primetime, at home...we will clearly be right in the middle of their cross hairs.

Now this is where you are just being silly.

In week 16 the Commanders o-line consisted of Levi Brown, Will Montgomery and Stephon Heyer starting. Not one of those guys is a legit NFL caliber o-lineman.

You replace those 3 stooges with Trent Williams (who by all accounts has looked very good, you don't hear his name which is a good thing) Artis Hicks, who is far superior to Will Montgomery at guard, and Jamal Brown who is light years better then Stephon doughboy Heyer.

The Commanders went from a pee wee leauge o-line in week 16 to a legit NFL o-line, with a legit NFL QB behind it, and now a legit NFL scheme to work in.

Of course, I have no clue how it will work because I haven't seen the team play a game yet. But to think that the o-line is anywhere near as bad as the disaster trotted out in December is laughable

You never underestimate any team in the NFL on game day. Still even if the Commanders beat Dallas in Week 1 I don't like their chances of going any better than 8-8 for the entire season. And while McNabb is a an upgrade at QB in the short term he does not provide a long term solution. They are lacking a lot of long term solutions due to the age of their roster. It will take them a few years to get everything turned around.

They played us down to the wire last year and should be better in 2010, so yes, we better be ready.

I enjoy reading those posts as well. Much more funnier after a loss though or looking back at position rankings from the past.

Either way, at this time of year every team has hope to be optimistic. I think most teams are pretty close to an 8 win team. A few bad bounces can take a team to 10 wins or 6 wins. There are some teams that are north or south of that 8 win average but for the most part most teams are grouped together at 8 win talent.

If by that you mean they stayed to the game was over then yes i agree i wouldn't call 17-0 even remotely close though, the first game our offense was just out of sync the whole game and we played down to their level.
That game wasn't close because they where so good that game was close cause we played like crap on offense that day, i can't remember if it was the week before or after the GB game but that first game came at a time when our offense was slumping big time.

If we play like the first game last season then yeah we should maybe worry but we're a better team then the Skins if both teams bring their A game we'll win that game comfortably

Nor should that December game have been close, considering the pee wee leauge offensive line we trotted out there

In round 1, our D played one of the best games of the season, without Haynesworth. If not for 2 awful kicks by Suisham, the Commanders win that game.

They're going to be better. There is no way around that fact. Mcnabb, choker or not, is a MAJOR upgrade over what they had.

Now he doesn't have a great recieving core, like the young one they finally got him in in philly, but hes done pretty well with a lot less in his career at WR.

Their O-Line will no doubt be improved over what it was and the coaching will be a pretty nice upgrade over what they had before.

The Skins, who played us pretty tough last year, will be even tougher this year. As you'd expect from a rival.

That will be a very tough opening weekend.

Not denying that, however if our offense played like they're capable of playing in that game you would need a hell of a lot more then 12 points to win
Your D played one of it's best games of the season we didn't if you think that was as good as last years team was capable of playing you're delusional

If both our team bring their A game we'll win simple as that, it's not always going to be like that but that's the way it is right now, no shame in admitting that
